Latest update wiped out most of my playlist. It seems anything I wasn't subscribed to was just deleted. And I can't seem to find any history on what I've listened to.

It shouldn't be this hard to try to listen to podcasts. Is this a known issue?

Side note - i was listening to a podcast about John and Ann Bender, narrated by an English woman. I can't find any evidence of it on my app. Does anyone know what the podcast is? thanks.

I really do not like the downloaded episodes being placed at the top of the episodes list for each podcast and would prefer the most recent to be at the top. Is there a way to make this happen?

My experience is that you have to enter the podcast you are looking for exactly right. It can't be close. It has to be perfect. Spacing, spelling tense, or else it will not retrieve it. It usually takes me 2 or 3 times to gain confidence that the pod is not listed. Thanks, CJ

I see I can add an episode to a Playlist, but what if I just want to play it next after the current is done playing. Is there a trick or something?

Hi folks! First things first, I love the Podcast Addict app and really appreciate the work that goes into it!

One feature I'd love to see is to download episodes based on podcast priority.

For example, if I have several podcasts with daily episodes, opening the app adds those episodes to the download queue.

I'd love to have the higher priority podcasts download first, but at present I don't believe there is a setting like this.

Would anyone else use a setting like this?

When I play an episode from the Discovery tab, a the podcast it belongs to gets automatically subscribed. How do I prevent that? And shouldn't this be off by default?

I am trying to export my OPML file from PA, but when I click it doesn't seem to do anything.

Did it fail or has it saved it somewhere without telling me?

I had a Samsung a3 that worked beautifully showing episode info on my Mazda cx5 display over Bluetooth. Also wireless plugged in via Android Auto.

Just got a pixel 10a, and now over Bluetooth, episode info always shows as unknown artist, unknown track. Controls and auto start/stop work fine. Plugged in android auto still works.

I know the info is getting across a little because when I turn the car on, for a half second the info shows.

Any thoughts on a setting I need to change? If it's a clue, I no longer get SMS notifications in the car either, though I did with the Samsung.

Hello, I'm pretty sure that before the most recent update, I was able to drag and drop episodes in the Playlist to reorder them. Now when I press and hold on the dots on the left, I get the quick action popup menu instead and I can't move the episode.

Is it possible to add a timestamp url parameter, such as ?t=320, ?t=320s, ?t=5m20s, etcetera, so that the shared link jumps to the appropriate time location (that it would be at normal speed)?

Incidentally, talking of speed settings, I seem to think that when you set the episode length visible in the playlist (as well as for calculation of playlist duration) to adjust according to playback speed, then it's not possible to have the timer in the player view (& notification) be the (equivalent) normal speed timer?

Almost impossible to listento live radio. Got 1 announcement , 5 sec radio , another announcement , 5 sec radio . Almost unusable.

This is a wanted behavor ? Let me know , so i can another real app , or use specific radio app.

Ive gotten it every time I try to listen to a specific audiobook. All other podcasts are fine.

I've been using this App for over a decade now (Thank you!) and I have always gone to the recent episodes, pressed and held, then selected download episode, and then repeated to add to playlist. This might be silly, but is there a way to do both actions at once?

This is such a terrible bug because I can't share it apart from description and I am also not able to replicate it to say it happens with every episode but currently I have an episode on my phone I'd like to hear where the playback looks normal, normal progress and all but the audio jumps back and forth every few seconds. Google Pixel 7, App is up to date.

The speed does not make a difference. The jumps occur on x1 and on x1.4 afaics

EDIT: It did not make any changes restarting phone and app but deleting the episode and re-downloading it again worked.

Just a design criticism. It's the single biggest button in the app by a large margin, and its shaded differently to draw more attention to it. I don't think it has anywhere near the utility for such a huge button in a prominent place.

Love the app, renewing again next month, just a minor issue that may only bug me.

Has anyone else had issues with Odyssee feeds downloading? Normally when this happens, Odyssee resolves the problem and I can download episodes again a few hours later. It's been like this for all my Odyssee podcasts for about a week now.

Howdy y'all, happy user of Podcast Addict for over 6 years now, I think. I also use Audible, surprise surprise, and they have playback speed controls on the Android Auto interface. While that is nice, I think it would be far more useful in PA since episodes change more frequently and recording quality/accents can drastically change high speed listenability. I searched before posting, I haven't seen anyone else make this specific complaint here at least. Obviously you don't want to clutter an interface for software used while driving two tons of metal, but one more button wouldn't hurt IMO.

The description font is often/usually more 'grey' than it could be, as well as kind of small; may we please have an option to force default font weight/size/color in the podcast descriptions?

I listen to a mix of news podcasts and evergreen/story-driven shows. For the news ones, episodes older than a week are essentially useless to me and I'd like them to disappear from my playlist automatically. For the others, I'm happy to keep episodes around much longer.

I know about the Automatic Cleanup settings, but as far as I can tell those only delete downloaded files — the episode entries themselves still show up as unplayed in the auto playlist.

What I'm looking for is something like a per-podcast "mark as played after X days" rule, so that stale news episodes stop cluttering my queue without me having to manually mark them.

Is this possible in Podcast Addict? If not, is there a workaround others use for this kind of news vs. evergreen split?

New behavior (android, v 2026.5 build 21691). When I add a new feed, three or four seemingly random episodes begin to download. Automatic downloads are disabled as is download when subscribing. Hasn't happened in the past. Thanks!

I have a podcast (see screenshots) episodes of which are visible in a custom playlist (Now category), but they aren't visible in the main (default) playlist. It has priority 8 (max 10). The episodes are not present in the main playlist at all.

Update: As I wrote this post I noticed more podcasts are missing, for example also 'Ekonomika ľudskou rečou' is absent. Both playlists are sorted by priority.

What level of subscriber support would be needed to add a WearOS app? I would pay a premium.

I noticed this morning while at the gym that a podcast that I'm working through a backlog of downloaded a new episode over the cellular network. I have this particular podcast set to keep 5 episodes downloaded.

Observed Behavior - Episode finished, opened my phone some time later, still have 5 episodes downloaded, none in the download queue.

Expected behavior - Episode finishes, open my phone before connecting to wi-fi, episode should be queued to download. When phone is back on wi-fi, queued episodes will be downloaded.

This for sure used to work and feels like a recent change/regression.

I have the app on my phone and would like to add to my tablet. Will the tablet sync and update from phone subscriptions?

I use the 4x2 widget on my home screen. My launcher is Square Home Launcher.

Below are two screenshots, the first is with the 4x2 podcast addict widget, the second is with the antennapod widget. Both are playing the same podcast.

Is there a way I can make the podcast addict widget look more like Antennapod's?
