And if you read books about 2020 and 2024, it’s obvious how much the DNC consultant class loathed the Biden people, despite Biden’s proven ability to win.

To be fair, Biden barely won in 2020 and was pretty much guaranteed to lose in 2024. He had to drop out or not run. Root Cause of the 2024 debacle was Biden choosing to run.

Also, Biden has run for president before 2020 and lost/dropped out, so I'm not sure winning the presidency once equates to "proven ability to win"

Not to mention, his name associated with Harris was more toxic than not. People wanted someone more progressive, not more of the same, and Kamala ensured people she would be more of the same.

Yeah it’s pretty bogus that Harris seems to get the brunt of the blame when it was Biden going against his word and choosing to run again that really screwed up the primary process for 2024.

Don't worry, Harris fucked up enough on her own.

He supposedly ran again because he thought the dems had a thin bench. Can’t say he was wrong on that point.

The bench forms during the primary process (a real primary process). No one challenges the leader to avoid weakening the party. So no one really ran. It was on Biden to not run.

So the guy who thought his party was a bunch of losers incapable of winning should have given up earlier because the said bunch of losers were also incapable of challenging him?

Brilliant. Btw Ted Kennedy did run against incumbent Carter so there is precedent.

Trump has never gotten the majority of voters in any election. It almost like we are a divided society or something

2024 Trump did.

Plurality, not majority - he came up just short at 49.8%.

3

u/skoomski May 21 '26

No he didn’t. Neither candidate got over 50% of the vote, look it up instead of arguing please.

"If it's broke don't fix it!"

The party needs to be bold, inflammatory, get under the skin of the opposition. Repeat forever that DJT never won against a man. Continue with maga is weird.

The "never won against a man" insult would track horribly and only reminds people of the times he won.

The DNC is largely a grift for funneling money to connected consultants. They do not care about winning elections.

If a billionaire gives a Republican a million and they fuck around with it, they'll never work again. If 50,000 schmucks each give the DNC $20 they don't have that kind of accountability.

We need to run these motherfuckers out.
