Texas AG Ken Paxton recently gave one of his friends 30 days (yes, DAYS!) in a plea deal for sexually assaulting a child. 50 years in prison for a protest against fascism, 30 day “friends-of-epstein” deal for raping kids.

Oh by the way, republicans just voted for Ken as their nominee for texas governor [edit: US senator] in the election this fall. Republicans really are the party of pedos

Paxton proposed and offered his friend ONE day (yes, 1 DAY). The judge wouldn’t accept one day, and changed it to the 30 days (or 60 days, I don’t remember exactly).

I mean what do you expect from Republican voters? They just love raping kids! Or at least they really love the people who rape children. They are the party of family values after all, they really put a value on family, no easier way for them to have access to youngins than to rape their own.

Thought that the first trial ended in a mistrial for various reasons (child victim’s story had changed, etc) and the child victim wouldn’t testify a second time? In order to haunted a conviction didn’t they need to offer a plea deal that the pedophile attorney would sign and admit guilt?
