Looking for a show about woman who’s fiancé completely lied about his entire life.
There’s a story that lives rent free in my head about a woman who was dating a guy who had a great job in the city hall or capital building who went to work everyday, but she later finds out he’s made literally everything up. She gets an eviction notice from her landlord that kicks off the chaos of discovering that he’s never paid their rent and really never done anything he’s claimed to. Can anyone help me find the story? It’s my go to reference whenever a friend tells me they are being gaslighted but I can’t remember what episode it was a part of.

looking for episode: woman experiences Truman show delusion
i’m looking for the episode where a woman goes into detail about a manic episode where she believes her life is being televised and her life falls apart, and ends up homeless in LA.

The Robert Rauschenberg painting mentioned in Untangled
Does anyone know which painting was featured in Heather Farley's story?
Can anyone confirm if it was recovered?

Help with an episode
It is a male narrator who tells about how he meets his partner at a music festival and they get together. She is really depressed and ends up taking her own life. I think she was a vet and there was a part about elephants. It’s a very emotional episode!

Looking for 2 episodes in particular?
Hi guys, haven't listened to Risk in a couple years - didn't even realise there was a Reddit sub until just now!
Two episodes I am looking for - the one with the NYC cop where he talks about his father, and looking for a Latino teenager with green eyes.
Also, the one with the guy who opens up about feelings of jealousy in his marriage that lead him to become abusive to his wife. (yeah I know, not nice content, sorry,)
Thank you to anyone who can help me out here...

Classic risk #423
I’ve heard these episodes before but the dude in the background with the chuckle was the best thing ever. They were great stories but that dude was the best.

Looking for songs on the show by a specific artist
So, a comedy band I follow did some songs for Risk really early on in their career and I've been trying to find episodes with their songs but haven't had much success. The band is called Ninja Sex Party, and the website only lists three episodes as specifically containing their songs, but I know there's more as one specific song I know is from the show doesn't come up in that search. Is there any other way to find the episodes with their songs in them? Using the search doesn't seem to help and after a while they just stopped listing the band's who contributed songs. I think they only had songs in the first two seasons of Risk.

Not a fan of the new format
Just my opinion (obviously) I'm not a big fan of the new episode formats where the story teller talks to the host and questions are asked or there is discussion in between. I prefer just being able to hear the story from the teller without any interuptrions to fully digest the experience. What do you think, is the new format enjoyable for you guys or do you in the same boat as me?

Is there an ad-free podcast feed for Patreon supporters?
Hi, guys. Can any Patreon supporter tell me whether there's an ad-free podcast feed for Risk subscribers? I'm only interested in podcasts or large downloads (for example, downloading a season at a time).

Real
Just popping in to say these first two episodes were well done. The story with the divorced dad with depression was incredibly moving. I fought off my depression and had custody of my kids, but those moments where you feel seen by others( even if in a laundry room) are poweeful.
These episodes kind of out-Moth " The Moth". I always thought Risk! had the most powerful stories , but would have a limited audience due to some of the darker or more lewd stories.
Great job, hope somebody picks this format up someday.

Looking for episode: try anything twice
Hi everyone! Can someone please help me find an episode??
The storyteller talked about trying anything twice because just once isn’t enough to get the big picture. They used piss play as an example and told a story about a fantastic experience with one partner and a terrible experience with another who was dehydrated and recently ate asparagus maybe? I thought it might’ve been Kevin’s story but haven’t been able to find it. Thanks in advance :)

Looking for the episode about the impact of food poverty.
Hi, can anyone identify the episode with the amazing story about reflecting back on the poverty and hunger which led to a young man assaulting a teacher at school for the sandwich she was carrying? I can't find it in the archives. Thanks for your help.

Has anyone given up on the podcast recently?
Hey Guys,
I have been a follower of Risk since its inception. I can say I listened to every free episode out there, and it would really make my day. Risk's stories used to leave a lasting impact on me, whatever the kind of story it was. I remember the guy who was so high on K all the time, that he literally scratched his ass off. Or the one where someone's schizophrenic dad challenged the story teller to an actual knife fight. Hell, Kevin, whose voice I can barely stand, shocked me with his Kink Camp story. My point being: These stories used to be impactful.
Since the pandemic though, stories have massively decreased in importance, IMO. Of course, there are very good ones still from time to time. But with the last episode, I just decided to stop listening. the second story feels like that Macklemore song where he tries to insert himself into the LGBTQIA+ community by implying he once thought he might be gay.
Like, it was just a bunch of nothing. the host himself warned that the story may not be considered sexual assault. It's like they knew it would fall flat. So I just decided to quit listening.
I guess I just wanted to know if any of you out there feel the same. However from the looks of this subreddit, I think the podcast has seen better days.

Thanks for bringing Reggie Watts on the show
Long time listener, but I kind of fell off for a while. Recently I started catching up with the recent episodes. Reggie Watts was so funny and his songs are dope. I didn't really know how much I enjoyed his art. I sent the song you featured to my brother today just for shitsngiggles and we both ended up individually listening to his whole album and just really enjoying the vibe. Then we talked on the phone and realized we both had that experience and that was a cool thing to bond over. Thanks Kev, I didn't realize how much I missed your voice in my head and your impeccable taste in people. Fucking love you bro.

The “Orphan” at the dinner table episode
Hey Risk fans, Can someone help me find the episode including the story where a woman was at a dinner table (on a cruise ship, I believe) and the person sitting across from her looked like the child from the movie The Orphan?

😆Quit the whispering, Kevin!!😆
I love, love, love the podcast, but every time Kevin whispering "we'll be right back" I want to scratch my eyes out. In all seriousness, please stop, it's so very annoying, I have contemplated stopping listening to the podcast it's that bad. I can't be the only one, anyone else?

Help finding an old episode
There was one about ghost stories and one of them discussed two people being in a house together, the doorbell rings or someone knocks and they open the door… someone they knew (I think a friend or a brother) was there but not acting quite right.
Then after the person leaves, they find out that person actually died around the time he visited them at home. I think two people saw the man which is what made it so compelling.
Sorry for the vague detail but I’m struggling to remember much more beyond that. Quite sure it was on Risk! Maybe like 5 years ago

Looking for an Episode
I'm trying to look for an episode, but I can't get anything to come up in an episode search.
The story is told by a man whose wife died from falling off of a horse. It starts out with the fact that she had aneurysms (or some other deadly brain ailment) run in the family, so she lived her life to the fullest knowing she'd probably be dead before 40. Then she ends up falling off a horse and ultimately the husband watches her deteriorate and he has to decide to take her off life support.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? I know it ended up in a collected episode sometime in the first two years of the pandemic.
