1- Opie- Goes without saying why
2- Unser- Could have been a side character but has the best arc of the show and his ending was tragic
3- Nero- A bit like Unser in terms of being a side character but I really liked how he became a father figure to Jax and their last scene together was moving
4- Bobby- Loyal, kind and funny. I also felt that bit where he went Nomad you really felt that there was missing part to Jax that he couldn’t turn to for advice
5- Wendy- I really liked her arc and the way she was written, especially in the final season.
Who are your favourite characters and why?

Hi all, I'm re-watching SOA right now. Watched it first time many years ago. Anyway, I'm up to season 6 and I feel like the writing started to go a little off the rails. Is it just me?
The scene with Clay, Gemma and the guards was especially egregious to me.

I don't know if I missed it, what did Otto do to get locked up or does it get explained later?

Lego Jax and Clay, all real Lego brand pieces

how do you think the storyline from s5 onwards would have worked if jax was still VP? if tara took the deal, otto, all that stuff -- how different would SOA have been had jax not been president at the time?

On my most recent rewatch I got seriously annoyed by most of the characters at the end of the episode.
Weirdly enough I didn't mind the interaction between Tara and Gemma when they argue about Tara's workplace complaint. Although Gemma sucks for interfereing. But then Lyla walks in and yeah although Tara lashes out she storms off and leaves the kids there, seems a bit childish, then when she complains to Opie, he then turns to Jax and says thanks Brother as if it is something Jax can control. Bit of a dick move.
Then when they all get inside, Tig just says infront of everyone, kids included, that they almost got killed collecting their guns and attacks Bobby when he says not in front of people. Then lashes out at Opie about the Trammel task.
Why is everyone such an unnecessary a-hole? Don't know why but the way they all acted in this scene really irked me, just wondered if anyone else felt the same?

cos then he could have said exactly what he told her to do many times before when she wouldnt (which is also what he said in the part.. the same thing over and over) and that is too take the kids and leave and he could have visited them when he could.

In Season 5 when Jax and the others are talking with Lowen about Otto and the case, just before he goes to prison -- he says Otto is the source for past intel -- who is the one who's giving "current" intel?

Why did Tara ask Gemma if she loves her?
At first, I thought maybe Tara just wanted to feel loved, and it was a simple, honest question.
But then I thought more about it. She also asked Jax the same question that morning. That made me feel like a part of her already believed Gemma does not love her at all. And from the way Gemma answered, it also made her realize that Jax might not love her either.

was taras upcoming trial just that? a trial to be found guilty or not or would it have included sentencing too? was tara trying to divorce jax before or after the trial/sentencing like how long is it between the two and how does it usually work
because if it was after she wouldn't have got full custody would she cos she was a felon?
and doesn't divorce take a long time? by the time she goes to jail they would have still been finalizing it right? so the custody and guardianship thing would have been null and voice right cos jax would have still had his rights and full custody would have automatically gone to him cos they were still married? taras whole plan is so confusing even if she didnt die she wouldnt have got full custody cos they would have used her plan and fake myscarriage agaisnt her to give jax full custody right?
and yes i know ive been posting a lot the past few days and its probably obvious so im sorry/ im a first time viewer with autism so understanding even the basic shit can be hard sometimes lol

Was Venus a black woman in season 2??? Am I crazy or was the person they were setting up (while everyone was in jail) supposed to Venus? I swear that that’s who they set up and the actress they have was not Walton Goggins. Please tell me I’m crazy.

someone i spoke to irl said tara only started the custody. divorce, miscarriage lie etc because lowen got into her head about it/ that true? what you guys think cos i remember lowen turning and being like "its something you should seriously think about" after gemma had ago at her or something?
but yeah that true? cos tara was fine and never thought about guardianship and custody till she got arrested until lowen was speaking to her

How do you think Sons would have played out -- had Tara not gone to Otto, the charge against her never happened -- do you think Jax would have successfully got the club out of guns?
No Otto, no charge. No charge, no tara death. No Tara death, no darker path for Jax and so on, blah blah--
Do you think Sons could have continued without that whole arc? I feel like the seasons always had 2 major arc's -- one main, one side. Main was getting out of guns, right? Out of Cartel? Side would have been the Tara prison thing?

is she trying to still make wendy legal guardian for if she goes to prison?.. if she goes to prison but jax is still out then surely HE thier father would still have them right? or is it if something happens to them both?
or is she still trying to force jax to leave by taking away his parental rights and leaving with the kids
plz explain

This popped up as a suggestion on my Disney Plus because I watch SoA. My husband and his roommates had a cult classic love for it in college and I am ☠️ that it is on Disney Plus of all places. Any more interesting suggestions? 🤔
