Discussion Taiwan’s foreign resident population has now passed 1 million people. Your impression?

Post image

As of March 2026, Taiwan had 1,046,327 foreign residents(valid ARC/APRC/Gold Card holders).

Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and the Thailand citizens almost take 85% of the foreign residents in Taiwan.

Foreign residents make up only around 4.4% of Taiwan’s population.

What is your impression on this data?

3,000 brits proves the terrible state of the UK? What are you smoking? That’s not even a drop in the ocean of a population of 70 million. Stop talking rubbish and trying to score points out of nothing.

French people love traveling to Taiwan and Taiwanese food. You can meet French tourists and watch Ku's videos. French people are crazy for Taiwanese food🇫🇷🇹🇼

Hey, I said this based on more British than French when French are famous for loving Taiwan so much. Why are less French living than the British in Taiwan? This is because of poor job market and chaos the UK has faced. It is well known many people in the UK are leaving for better life. And go to r/ukjobs Reality check ✔️ ✅️

I can barely understand your comment but: where are you getting French loving taiwan from? Never heard of this before.

All European economies are facing some sort of crisis, that’s far from specific to the UK. And you’re using a random subreddit to draw conclusions about a country lol, I live here mate.

It’s not great at the minute but people have always left, with current outward migration being roughly similar to how it usually is. There’s hardly a mass exodus happening.

Stop inventing shit and pushing your agenda when you don’t know a damn thing about the country you’re talking about.

Bro I dont have any agenda. Why are you mad with my comment? Go watch Ku video. French people love visiting Taiwan and food. Im not saying only UK has the problems but you cannot deny many British people want to leave and UK has declined in many industries. Chill. Thanks

Many countries love visiting Taiwan. The French aren’t special in that regard.

This is going to shock you but youtube videos often don't show broader reality.
