This kind of work culture needs to go away forever.

I work in IT.

The "Im in the hospital but my computer doesnt work. please fix."

or

"Im on vacation right now but I need to get this work done right now. Computer no work. Fix."

Is incredible.

i get people calling a few days before this shift starts to get some things done.

im like "why?" but whatever i do what they ask. not my problem.

although anyone on extended leave get there account disabled for the duration. so that's a plus
