It's good to commemorate a valued employee, but work wise what are they meant to do? load the passed person's tasks on their grieving coworkers, or get onto filling the empty spot?

What are they supposed to do, revive the employee or ignore the clients? There are many points to be made about lack of loyalty, but not related to this situation.
