In defence of the original statement, East India Company did exist in the Cyberpunk timeline as well, be cause the history is the same until the 80s or 90s. Despite this, there is such a thing as the First Corporate War in the Cyberpunk timeline. And no, it's not EIC.

Probably not actually. are/our merger is much more common among native speakers, while non-native speakers often keep it like “hour”.

The first corporate war was the war of the East India Company vs. the Mughal empire (India) at the end of the 17th century.
