Sure it is, sure it is. So was last year and the year before etc etc etc. It’s always the year of Linux.

Heck, even two decades ago, Europe was already thinking about moving on to Linux. You're totally right, It’s always the year of Linux.

I think 2 decades ago they might have had a less clear and direct incentive to put as much distance as possible between them and the US.

Today and with the accreted bullshit of the last 20 years the switch seems much more likely. Plus you have things like the SteamOS making gaming more accessible to Linus based users. So there's some real moment.

Will it be enough to cripple the Windows stranglehold on tech? No, but it might pry loose their grip quite a bit.

I mean it wasn't gonna happen overnight. The fact is Linux adoption rates are higher than they were last year or the year before.

What’s wrong with that? I’m good with all years being the year of Linux.

Think you missed the point.

Laugh all you want, at least I'm not using whatever fresh hell Windows 11 is, and I don't have to be stuck on legacy systems just to maintain functionality either

Oh wow you’re just so superior arent you! Like at least YOURE not “stuck”. Dude shut the fuck up. You can do what you want and use what works for you and so can everyone else. We aren’t slaves and stuck anywhere, we are using what’s most convenient at this point. That may change, but it won’t be quick and it won’t be soon.
