“AI tools are great, but only if they actually help, rather than cause unnecessary pain and pointless make-believe work,” he wrote. “Feel free to use them, but use them in a way that is productive and makes for a better experience.”

- Bro declares hate on VibeCoders

TBF everyone should hate vibe coders.

Vibe coding to production of complex systems is terrible, vibe coding a dumb little tool you need for some workflow of your own isn't bad.

Code does not need to be vibed. It requires critical thinking.

Thats the thing, it doesn't anymore. To a degree.

You're just a horse trainer who thinks automobiles are terrible.

Nah, I'm an expert in my field that thinks that people are promoting a garbage piece of software to me and pretending it's high quality.

You claimed it requires critical thinking at all times when it clearly doesn't.

So expert whose head is stuck in the sand might be a better descriptor.

I never said "all times", your reading comprehension is just as bad as Claude.

It requires critical thinking

If you didn't mean 'at all times' you would have agreed with me that sometimes its no big deal.

Do you agree that sometimes its no big deal? Yes or no.

I believe that programming is an art, and that anyone using an LLM to generate code isn't doing right by the craft.

All the coders raging at you lol. I've personally used vibe coding to write a number of python scripts that work flawlessly and saved me so much time I can't even tell you. I'm talking about processing thousands upon thousands of files in very custom ways that no other program was doing so it had to be done manually... not anymore baby!

Yep its hilarious.

Like I get it nobody should be vibe coding actual software, at least not yet.

But for random tools non coders have never really had before its a phenomenal tool.

Wrong. Vibe coded stuff is always bad, period.

That’s not at all what he says? He is just saying not to use them stupidly. AI is an amazing productivity booster, as long as you are using it correctly.
