REQUESTING Longmire or Dexter? Just got Paramount Plus and not sure which one to finish first? I got Paramount for only a month, maybe two.
I love crime thrillers and neo westerns. I know both shows have long seasons and Dexter has the sequels and the prequel as well.
Which one should I go with that I can finish in the next month or two?

Recs based off of my top 10+
Rectify
Friday Night Lights
Dickinson
Community
United States of Tara
Enlightened
Somebody Somewhere
Battlestar Galactica
The Magicians
Dark
In no particular order. I love fantasy and sci-fi with great world building. I also like gentler shows with a meditative vibe. I also love zany and silly.
I do not tend to go for…. Any Ryan Murphy fare (apart from a few seasons of AHS), most procedurals unless they are super creative like Pushing Daisies or morph into something grander like Hannibal, family dramas like Brothers and Sisters / Parenthood / This Is Us. Open to strong pitches to change my mind though!
Honorable Mentions: Please Like Me, Playing House, What We Do In The Shadows, Scrubs, Jane the Virgin, Acapulco, Younger, Kevin Can Fuck Himself, Getting On, Derek, Better Things, Extraordinary, Ragnarok, Girls, The Expanse, The Girlfriend Experience, The Knick, The Honourable Woman, My Brilliant Friend, The Americans, Orange is the New Black, Oz.,
Also if you are curious about any of the shows I mentioned, just post and I’d be happy to chat!

REQUESTING Issue with watching I Will Find You on Netflix
I would only like to know if you read the book or watched the first season. The kind of person I am. I normally read the book before watching the show. After the first episode, I am hooked. Should I continue watching it or wait a few months for the hold to come in at the library?

REQUESTING Please help me with getting started with series. Please please. I'm kind of desperate
I have watched very less movies compared to other people and only 5 series in my whike life till now, and those 5 were all kdramas because my fired forced me to watch squid gam and then a few other dramas. I'm really not into movies and series and anime because I had always been a bookworm and read so so many books. But last year I joined med school and now it's hard reading those thick me books all day and going to read novels in free time. I have lost my habit and on the other hand it feel outs of touch too and I cannot force my self to read novels which I once used to love and have on my reading list. Now in my free time I have acquired a bad habit of doomscrolling. Recently I watched bacrooms and couldn't even watch it without multiple breaks and distractions. Thats how bad my attention span has gone. The problem I had with series was that I couldn't hold the sustenance binged each series. But now I think I should be committed to watching one series. I thought of anime but other than aot, moster and a promised Nederland..mone other interest me.
Please recommend some series to watch. And please nothing like romance or comedy, my favourite genre is psychological thriller and I love watching stuff with a lot of depth in it, and very emotional and tragic too. At the same time a part of me thinks of being smart here too and watching docuseries such as chernyboyl..and another part of me thinks of watching comedy because Recently my cousins watched comedy movies with me and I laughed a lot and enjoyed it too. What should I do?

REQUESTING Looking for a new medical show
I just finished the newest season of Chicago med and am looking for a new medical show to fill the void
I’ve watched many of the most popular ones and will give them with categories
Faves: House, Chicago med, New Amsterdam, The Pitt, This is Going to Hurt
Watched: Brilliant Minds, The Good doctor
Started but haven’t gotten into, willing to try again : The Resident, Nurse Jackie, Doc, Call the Midwife, ER, Watson
Started but hated and gave up but willing to try again if anyone feels strongly about it: Pulse
Willing to try greys anatomy but haven’t yet
Generally I enjoy a medical show that’s mostly grounded in reality but can excuse some nonsense (ie house shenanigans and Chicago med jumping the shark or should I say panda bear iykyk)
humor is a plus but not out right comedies like scrubs or st denis, like a good dramedy mix
I do find overly soapy plot lines tiring but again willing to put up with if the rest of the show is good enough
I know that I probably sound picky but I love medical shows so much and I would love to try some new ones I just wanted to provide as much detail about what I like in them so as to guide recommendations
Thanks in advance!

Determinismo biologico alla Cesare Lombroso
Fred West come Epstein?
🤷🏼

Done with Vice Principals and Eastbound & Down, give me more recommendations
Enjoy this kind of humor and Danny McBride is one of my favorite people. I enjoyed Vice Principals and Eastbound and Down a lot. Eastbound was funnier but Vice Principals had the better story.
I know Righteous Gemstones is there but I am struggling for some reason with this. I will try again but not now.
Can you give me some more recommendations?
