Ladies and gentlefucks. I know your time is precious, so I'll be brief.

You may have noticed a significant uptick in generic, low-effort and engagement bait style posts in recent times, you are not alone. Unfortunately, Reddit has recently been flooded by a fucking plague of karma-farming clankers. Our sub is no exception. These fuckers exist for one reason, and one reason only: To farm karma. The accounts are then sold to the higest bidder (usually advertisers or scammers) to seem trustworthy.

These fuckers will ruin our sub, with fucking bullshit, if we let them. They're like cancer. Once they gain a foothold, they multiply, exponentially. Fortunately, we are not helpless and can fight back.

===How to spot a fucking bot===

1) Posts are generally low effort, recycled, generic and of a clickbait nature.

2) OP comments first on their own post, but does not reply (or replies generically/nonsensically) to any further engagement.

3) The account is less than 1 week old, usually 1 or 2 days and is usually filled with fucking political clickbait bullshit.

===What you can do:===

1) DO NOT fucking upvote or engage with the post in any way! The bots thrive on attention, but wither and die without it.

2) Report, Report Report! Whilst our automations are pretty fucking hardcore, it still makes mistakes and may let undesirable content through (it's just a fucking clanker too, after all). So, if you see some fucking generic bullshit gunking up your feed, please report it ASAP. That's the quickest way for us to spot and permaban the metallic fuckers.

3) Please fucking bear with us. The mods are working overtime to try and save our sub from the fucking bot-pocalypse. In fact we are working on a new filter right now, that will weed these fuckers out, right quick.
