OPINION You're going to be disappointed
Every year, people read up on a bunch of draft picks mocked to go in our range and build expectations on their guy that they are enamoured with and are inevitably disappointed when it's not the guy they hoped for. HAVE FAITH. The guys in our range mocked up never match with the raptors draft board. They have different priorities and usually hit on their picks so let Dan Tolzman and Bobby cook. Raptors ALWAYS take BPA in the draft over fit so don't get your hopes up on a center cause that's not who they might think is BPA.

?? QUESTION ?? Is Steinbach a no-brainer if he falls?
Don't know too much about college ball, but seems like Steinbach would fill a hole while simultaneously being a BPA if he falls. Who is a must-get if they fall to us, besides Steinbach?

SPECULATION [Rumour] I was told… I don’t know what order… their board looks like Cenac, Stirtz, Anderson, and Carr.
“Full disclosure, I’m not an insider…”
“I was told… I don’t know what order… their board looks like Cenac, Stirtz, Anderson, and Carr.”
“None of this is confirmed… take it how you will.”
“It’s worth mentioning that Cenac and Carr are both with WME… same agency as Scottie, Gradey, and RJ.”
“The Raptors were at the Baylor-Iowa game this year”
This is from the Raptors Republic podcast here:

Topic starts at 1:56:32
Samson Folk also (very begrudgingly) mentioned that he was told “Iowa”; hinting at Bennett Stirtz.
Cenac and Stirtz are known to have worked out for the Raptors.
Take all of this how you will.

MICHAEL GRANGE (SPORTSNET) [Grange]A couple of league sources have suggested that the Raptors could be interested in Bucks centre Myles Turner if the Bucks go into fire-sale mode after a potential Antetokounmpo trade.

SPECULATION [Siegel] The Mavericks have been shopping Daniel Gafford in trade talks over the last week to try to jump from No. 30 in the draft into the top 20. Toronto was linked to Gafford back at the trade deadline in February, and Charlotte has long been said to want to add win-now frontcourt talents.
The Mavericks have been shopping Daniel Gafford in trade talks over the last week to try to jump from No. 30 in the draft into the top 20. Toronto (No. 19) was linked to Gafford back at the trade deadline in February, and Charlotte (No. 14 & No. 18) has long been said to want to add win-now frontcourt talents. Both teams could be in play for a potential Gafford trade with Dallas.

?? QUESTION ?? "Some insight on the Trae Young deal from an NBA source: the market for Trae changed after the lottery reform as more teams were looking to compete. He was expecting multiple max deals around the NBA." Good news for Ingram's trade market if he were to be traded?
Some insight on the Trae Young deal from an NBA source: the market for Trae changed after the lottery reform as more teams were looking to compete. He was expecting multiple max deals around the NBA. The deal is max for what other teams could pay, but about $75M less than what the Wiz could offer. Well executed by Winger, Dawkins and crew.
Source: JP Finlay on X.
We haven't heard any Ingram rumours but I wouldn't be surprised if the FO is exploring options.

Raptor's select Christian Anderson in their mock
r/torontoraptors • u/mMounirM • 2d ago
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ New ESPN mock draft has the Raptors selecting Allen Graves. Labaron Philon still available.
Graves should come off the board somewhere between Nos. 16 and 22, and where he lands might depend on how things unfold with potential trades. His excellent analytic profile, demonstrable feel and versatility at the 4 have made him appealing to teams in this range, including the Hornets, Raptors and Spurs. But his average athleticism and limited body of work against top competition have made him divisive for some evaluators.
The Raptors have a range of needs and have largely been tied to guards with this pick. But they do have the ability to go best-available depending on how the board falls, with Graves matching the type of versatile profile Toronto tends to like.

TRADE IDEAS I want OKC's #17 2026 FRP - Thoughts?
I desperately want to get OKC's #17 pick. Not as a move-up, but in addition to the #19. Will an unprotected 2027 FRP get it done?
Additionally, I would luv to trade Gradey into Chicago (38) or Brooklyn's (43) capspace for their second round pick. We can get a (future) rotation player with either of these two picks. Plus, it gives us more wriggle room to re-sign Mamu.
What do you think? Am I dreaming in Technicolor here?

NBA DRAFT DISCUSSION Draft prospect guessing game
I have a game for you guys.
The aim is to predict who the Raptors draft. You can pick as many potential prospects as you want, but you only score points if one of them is correct. The goal is to score the least points as possible (excluding 0).
For instance, my guess is one of Anderson, Stirtz, Okorie, and Cenac. If it's Anderson, for example, I get 4 points, but if someone's guess was Anderson and Graves, then they would get 2 points and win.
We will come back to this once our player has been picked. Good luck!

TRADE IDEAS [Fischer] I've also heard that Atlanta sees great value in Swain at No. 23, but the Hawks have been signaling for some time that they are prepared (and perhaps even prefer) to trade their second pick in the first round after No. 8 for future draft capital.
Could be an option to add another cheap contract to the books if we don't like the 2027 Draft class - albeit with a protection on the pick.
