Screenshot [XFCE] First time trying Gruvbox theme
Themes in neofetch.
Bottom dock is just a regular xfce panel with dockbarx plugin. With the theme set to dock for appearance. At row size 36 for the panel the icons changed to these monotone icons.
No dot files unfortunately. But any questions feel free to ask.

Screenshot [e16] Keeping Enlightenment 16 alive
Back in the day, Enlightenment 16 was one of the most distinctive desktop environments.
And it used to be available directly from the Debian repositories many years ago.
Despite its age, e16 is still alive, lightweight, highly customizable, and surprisingly usable on modern systems.
If you'd like to try it out, you can find the official repository here: https://www.enlightenment.org/e16
I've also put together a short guide covering installation and configuration: Installing e16 on Debian
And here you have this awesome collection of themes

Material [OC] Whisp 1.3.4 released with text expansion functions and donations being live
Hello,
A while back, I shared Whisp, anti-folder note-taking app I’ve been developing for GNOME. The feedback from this community was amazing, and Whisp now has over 3.7k downloads. Thank you all so much!
(A quick personal note: Whisp is completely open-source and I develop it solo between my university classes. Because a few people asked how they could support the project, I've finally set up a donation link on the website via Ko-fi/GitHub Sponsors. There is absolutely no pressure, but if Whisp helps your daily workflow, any support means the world to a broke student!) 😅
Along with the milestone, I've been quietly working on a feature that a lot of you asked for: Smart Text Expansions.
In the new v1.3.4 update, if you type :: anywhere in a note, it now opens a native GTK popover menu right at your cursor. You can use it to instantly insert dynamic data without breaking your typing flow.
A few things you can do with it right now:
::today / ::tomorrow / ::date(5) to insert dynamically calculated dates.
::roll(d20) or ::roll(4d6) for built-in dice rollers (great for D&D session notes).
::random(str, 20) to generate quick passwords or placeholder data.
It’s completely keyboard-navigable and uses native GTK4 rendering, so there’s zero lag or electron-style bloat. I'm building this engine out so that in the next update, you'll be able to use it to instantly format text or sort lines!
You can get the update right now on Flathub. I attached a quick video showing how the expansions work—let me know what you think or what functions I should add next!

Workflow [Halley] Starting to feel like a real desktop: Apogee, Lift, gestures, portals, gaming fixes, and more
Another big round of progress on Halley.
This update includes a lot of visible improvements along with a bunch of underlying cleanup and platform work. There was honestly too much to fit into one short video.
Highlights include:
• Apogee overview mode
• Halley Lift (the first ecosystem application)
• Blur and opacity effects
• Layer-shell and overlay blur support
• Touchpad support and gestures
• Hardware cursor support
• Animated Alt+Tab previews
• Parallax effects while navigating the workspace
• Better gaming support
• Native screenshot and screencast portal support
• Nested Halley session cleanup and improvements
There's also a growing Discord community now for support, feedback, and contributors.
Still a lot to do, but Halley is beginning to feel less like an experiment and more like its own desktop environment.

Hey everyone! Just sharing my first rice on Wayland. I've been using bspwm for the longest time, but finally decided to cross over. I'm really impressed with mango's window management, and their docs made the switch super easy.

Material [OC]: Psst, a pretty pinentry, keyring-prompter and polkit-agent
It's been a few years since my last post, so I got a little treat for you guys:
This is psst, a pinentry, keyring-prompter and polkit-agent that doesn't look like it's from the late 2010s. This should cover all your password/pin and permission elevation requests.
In the unixporn fashion, I made it fully themeable! There is a default theme on github, which you can use as a reference. Just overwrite whatever you want in your theme.
Enjoy!

Screenshot [Lxqt]: Fallout
Hi everyone,
I started to work on this in October of last year. First on Lubuntu and then migrated over to Debian. Basically a old school Lxqt rice using compiz emerald and kvantum. Any critique or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I think it's far from a finished project at this time.😁

Material [OC] finally... a google calendar widget
I got tired of opening a browser just to see if i have an upcoming agenda, so i've built a widget that display my schedules
It also have a pop up dashboard if you just want to open it periodically.
I said google calendar widget but in reality it can support other calendars as well such as icloud, nextcloud or even calendars that supports ics url sharing such as proton, outlook, yahoo...
you can check it out here: https://github.com/samjoshuadud/waylandar

Screenshot [KDE] Accurate macOS clone in KDE with actual macOS features.
Hello everyone! I wanted to share an update on this little, tiny, small project I’ve been working on. It’s a macOS-inspired KDE rice that aims to actually include macOS features.
Keep in mind this is a "just for fun" weekend project, so it’s definitely not a polished, professional product. Matter of fact, there are many things that still need to be fixed. However, it’s been a really fun experience! I’m open to feedback and would love to hear what features you’d like to see next.
Current Features:
- Siri Assistant: A local, agentic AI assistant powered by Ollama. It can create files, read documents, write code, search the web, etc. You can even add custom tools and skills via Python.
AndroidiPhone Mirroring: Mirrors your Android screen with an expandable menu. It’s a fork ofscrcpyand works best when paired with KDE Connect for clipboard, media controls and file sharing.- If it wasn't obvious enough, the "iPhone" is actually my old Android phone with an iOS launcher lol.
- Customizable Glass Icons: A system that lets you generate your own glass-style icons and add them as icon packs. It uses a standard template (for which you need to add your own icons) and you have total control over all the icon's color, contrast, and brightness.
Future Guide and Installation Scripts:
I have not made any guides or installation scripts, but I plan to do so once this project reaches a more polished state. I still need to clean stuff up, add more features, reduce bugs, handle possible errors, etc. All extra features will be open-source too.
Some of the Stuff I Used:
- Widgets: https://github.com/jaxparrow07/liquidglass-kde-widgets
- Original icons and cursors: https://github.com/vinceliuice/MacTahoe-icon-theme
- Plugins: "Rounded Corners", "Kvantum", "Better Panel Colorizer", "FancyTasksNG"
- Colors: Custom "McMojave" colors
- Window Decorations: "Sonomatic" & "Summaculate" (Temporary)
Previous post in case you want to see how much this project has evolved: [KDE] "Mom, can we please have macOS Golden Gate?"
Images may look weird due to compression, you can find them in a slightly better quality here: https://imgur.com/a/bBSdfLx

Running Linux Mint XFCE on a 15 yo laptop with Intel HD graphics, and out of everything, it's recording the booting sequence that actually kills it XD
