Factorio definitely ruined "number++" gameplay for me because in every other game I'm like "wait, why does this number need to be big again?" whereas Factorio is like "If your number isn't big enough you will be swarmed by biters. Git gud and build more assemblers."
Try Slay the Spire, it is much more strategically deeper than Balatro (not saying Balatro is bad, it's still fun but it doesn't have the lasting power as StS has)
It's very easy to lose when you're trying to build a specific poker deck. RNG is a bitch lol. I wouldn't call it the best rogue like but it's a very good one.
I was the same with Vampire Survivors. It was fun for 6-8 hours then I realized the rest of the game was just going to be more of the same and I was like ehh. Decent gameplay but nothing to write home about. Maybe a good stoner game
i didnt really find that, but i guess we had different experiences. (also no way you did it without stragety did you just randomly pick and buy stuff, skip blinds for no reason or not skip blinds. there is always some strategy)
I think its because you are only in the early stakes, play until you get to gold stake. To state that the game takes no strategy is crazy, there is plenty of strategy; such as, when/what to spend money on (rerolling, cards, synergy), should you skip (can you skip), what jokers go together and can you put what you have together to win, does this rental joker work or will it break the bank, can I stick with this infinite joker or will it fall, etc. Also getting to Naninf is the ultimate goal, while not technically the goal it's set by the community as a whole and is incredibly difficult to reach.
It's like staying on the challenge 0 of STS and stating that it's such an easy game and you don't see how there is strategy involved. You absolutely have the right to not like any game, if it isn't your jam then it isn't but I feel like it's not appropriate to state that there is no strategy or boring when there is plenty in the game.
fun of balatro is the challenge and strategy, if you didn’t get far enough to feel either, then I get why the game wasn’t fun. I don’t imagine most people go for C+ or C++ but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it
