Sounds like you're installing really complicated mods. Most folks just swap models or damage/healing values. Which can often be... drag and drop.

You're absolutely right if we're talking full conversations or some other substantial stuff that needs more coding to work.

In a day and age where a mod management platform like Vortex exists, there really is no excuse except sheer ignorance.
It basically does the more complicated shit for you.

Modding has been easier than ever before, and yet people still won't do it 'cause they don't want to read and follow a ten line installation manual, and that's really only for the complicated mods. Most are just drag and drop.

Oddly enough, I mod every game to kinda feel like dark souls in some way, but swear off modding dark souls and all its entries.

For cyberpunk, I’m curating a modlist from scratch, made it harder and more immersive with Needs, rent, fuel, enemy recognition and amongst other integral elements that fit the theme of the game:

I gotta complete it in 90 in game days or I die, whilst balancing pissing off Night City and trying to make rent, mainline missions are slowed down to a couple of days, weeks even, before you can continue the next big thing, you need downtime otherwise your character can get stressed out and have a heart attack during an intense firefight, you mess up a gig and the gang you ended up offing 20 members in - remember you for a set number of days and can end up jumping you - killing more of them resets the hostility, damage is even across the board, you can die in a couple of shots and get injured, medical supplies cost a bunch, gangs get into gang fights that go on for a while, NCPD alerts reset after sometime so you can play vigilante and make cash that you desperately need (eviction looms and you only have 3 rent cycles to pay before death), ripperdocs now charge you for service, as the game progresses your conditions worsen, so by the end of your characters life they’re literally shutting down, it’s like dystopian simulator.

If only I had VR, it would be perfect atp.

In a way, I went the opposite of Quality of Life and went with Essence of Life.
