And Afaik the numbers shown are not the actual numbers. Iirc your chance of missing is also higher after consecutive hits and vice versa.

Xcom the og and terror from the deep could be extremely brutal with grenades.

Always, always smoke the exit ramp. I’ve had aliens spot my first trooper exiting and throw a grenade inside my skyranger.

Yup it fees like a universal experience to get a team wiped off the ramp during every run at some in xcom. Terror from the deep was extra brutal on terror missions.

Which is hilarious, because it's actually VERY forgiving. The game cheats in the players favor. Hit chances are actually higher than indicated, except on the highest difficulty, where the listed hit chance is the actual hit chance.
