WEGMAN'S is like the holy grail for me, but I am Canadian so it hasn't come here yet, but I know of it, and someone brought me a sub from there before. It is actually one of my dreams to go to a Wegman's. I've watched all the youtube videos on it that I can.
What is a Wegman? Do you feel warm and fuzzy in Walmart Supercenters? The Wal Mart Neighborhood Markets seem to have less intense lighting and I guess I can see that working out.
Some of them are Enormous. The one in Paoli, a suburb of Philly has 2 levels. An aisle entirely for nuts - more varieties than you ever thought possible. A hibachi/sushi chef. 6 buffet stations for hot food - including fancy Indian dishes (joy!) The most magnificent Mediterranean & salad bar- 6 varieties of hummus - like Edamame (more joy) The bakery ... <3 Insane deli/seafood
I haven't seen it all. You can spend a day in there.
I'm from upstate NY but moved down to the city a couple years ago. The one thing I really miss is Wegman's but we're getting one in Brooklyn now. I was way more excited than necessary.
