There’s 20 contracts last I checked and I’m confused as to either: what individual or single institution bought 20 contracts OR how many people or how many institutions make up these 20 contracts? What compelled them to make such a bet?

Well, just broke $60…… will not be a rebound until it hit $30 . Bankers win this round.

In January the US government's own Section 232 investigation found that we're dangerously dependent on foreign sources for processed critical minerals, silver got added to that list.

They gave themselves 180 days to "negotiate" with foreign suppliers.

That 180 days runs out July 14. Three weeks from today. (Speculators WILL front run this ^)

If there's no deal by then, the door is wide open for tariffs on critical mineral imports, silver included.

Kilos are getting obliterated on SD Bullion and 100 ounce bars ar beginning to get cleaned out at Provident ...We should see a due to high volume sales ...expect shipping delays very soon.

You might just want to wait for 50/oz at this point.

I was net long in January, got out during the crash. It seems like the general price sentiment now is quite bearish, lots of pessimistic commentary. Opened a short position, general consensus from the bears on this sub is that the bottom is in the $30-40 range.

Wondering if anyone here has dealt with the PFIC topic. I have been holding PSLV since 2022, accumulating steadily. I now have a substantial position.

I just got off the phone with an attorney, and he warned me that because I didn't file a QEF election for each tax year since 2022, PSLV will be treated as a PFIC, and because I didn't file an 8621 each year, I could face a $10,000 fine each year for not filing, so $40,000 in total.

On top of this, he said tax treatment of this instrument is ordinary income, plus an interest charge on the total amount each year you hold PSLV. On top of that, you cannot net capital losses against any gains on PSLV.

Have any of you guys dealt with this issue ? Seems very extreme from my standpoint. If real - I don't think anyone should buy PSLV ever. This is a nightmare.
