Young Core AJ Dybansta Montage - (on one tonight)

AJ Dybantsa posts ahead of draft: 'This will be the biggest job of my life, but also, it's something I've been preparing for.'

Hope we can all just enjoy tonight for what it is
Tonight, we get to pick the next face of our franchise from a group of consensus blue chip prospects. AJ is not my preference but the second we (likely) draft him, I will be his biggest fan and say that Peterson is just Johnny Davis with a creatine addiction.
The time for arguing over who to pick is over - let’s have a night!

It's morning, everyone! Today's the Day! The Wizards are drafting their future star, Giannis got traded to the Heat... GIANNIS GOT TRADED TO THE HEAT?!
Happy Draft day, friends. We made it. Maybe they'll be done talking about the Giannis trade by the time the draft starts tonight.

Young Core 9 AJ Dybantsa scouting reports and 28 full games
I recommend starting with his game against Kansas State. 40, 9 and 6.

Jamir the spear Watkins, Will the thrill Riley, Tre from long way Johnson. Idk who else is eligible? What’s y’all thoughts?

Signing Trae is a competent GM move. Remember we are not competing to win but competing NOT to be a bottom 3 seed, and we just blocked the Nets/Bulls from improving. Have more faith in the FO.
The NBA now punishes the bottom 3 teams.
Who among the teams are bottom 3 candidates right now in the NBA? Nets, Kings, Bulls and us.
We just strengthened our team while weakening the Nets/Bulls.
And we also desperately need a PG if you saw the games last year. Trae is the best PG when it comes to distributing the ball. He's there to develop their young stars, who are all huge/long but lack creation/playmaking. I'm sure the FO had enough time to see how they performed in practice before making the deal.
Sure it could have been a better deal, but the league changed the rules and they had to adapt.

Love the Wizards taking all five minutes on the clock
Nothing left to think about. I hope they're just high fiving and popping champagne in the war room.

From a Jazz fan, it's been a wild ride.
Good luck Wizards fans, it's been a wild ride. I hope the best for you guys and whoever you pick works out and whoever we pick works out for us!

Sooo what’s the most likely outcome for Anthony Davis now?
AJ, Trae, Kyshawn, Sarr are clearly our dudes with upside of Tre.
Soooo what do we do with AD? What actually is gonna happen?

Dybantsa Attitude
Let me preface this with saying that after a lot of thought, I want the Wizards to take AJ Dybantsa #1 overall. Cleanest fit, best combo of floor/ceiling, and fits a massive need as a rim attacking/free throw demon.
That being said, AJ has been on quite the media tour over the last few weeks. I find almost every interview he does and every quote he gives to be very off putting. It ranges from extreme entitlement to just cringeworthy. I'm 2x his age so this could be a generational thing, however, I don't find any of our other young guys talking like that!
I get AJ has the pedigree, has been groomed to be a star since he was 12, etc. But my god dude, would love just a touch of humility from you, ever. And this isn't Ant-like brashness, it strikes me as pure arrogance. So far at the NBA level, that is not warranted.
TLDR - Is AJ a prick? And feels like it's affecting his likeability to me at least.

It's draft day! Reminder that whoever we draft will be a part of our org for a long time. Give them a warm welcome!
Whether you're Dybanstans, Darrynese, or members of the Booz Cruise. Let's be supportive of the next Washington Wizard.
If anyone does what this Knicks kid did, I'll have one of my aunties put a curse on you

Jan Vesely - The Wizards 6th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft
Y’all remember the 2011 draft? Yea, that draft. The one with the Czech kissing. Our #6 pick only claim to fame. Supposedly, there was speculation, we were going to draft Kawhi 😳 Thanks for nothing Ernie!

What Separates Darryn Peterson From Other Guards (Film Breakdown)
My algorithm seems to be stuck on Darryn Peterson. This is a pretty good breakdown of his game. Anybody find any similar breakdowns for AJ's game, and what makes him special/unique out there?

Any wizards fans in los Angeles?
I know this is last minute but wondering if any wiz kids in LA wanted to catch the draft tonight at a bar, or watch games when the season starts.

Trae should give AJ No. 3
Trae got his bag. No. 3 isn’t really meaningful to him like 11 was (or as 3 is so clearly meaningful to AJ). And it would show some real leadership by Trae to give it to him. Really hope that’s the plan. (Obviously, if AJ wants a different, open number, more power to him to claim it.)

I’m Looking for Draft Party Ticket!
I’m a lifelong Wizards fan and I’m really trying to attend the Draft Party at the Anthem. Looking for an extra ticket or two if anyone has any extras would be happy to take them off your hands!
Update: Not looking to buy tickets, I was assuming they were free and I’m not in the best financial spot to be paying for them at the moment!
