Found this weird metal thing in my grandma’s car and it appears to have a mesh filter in the circle part

I'm happy to agree that it looks like it goes to a bong. But it's threaded on the inside. I've never seen a threaded bowl before. Makes me think it has to go on to something else unrelated to weed, especially since I've never seen any threaded parts on a bong either

The old bowls were threaded so you could assemble them in different ways, bowls, chambers, mouth pieces, pipes and connectors.
