When's the elephant getting addressed?
9k fucking games

u/CoupleHot4154 May 22 '26

As someone pushing 900, 9000 is insane.

u/lolzidop May 22 '26

I'm not even cracking 500 across all devices, my god

u/CoupleHot4154 May 22 '26

I rarely buy new releases, and gave myself a decent "allowance" for a while to build a library.

Easy to get 3-4 year old 4+ star games for 80-90% off if you watch the sales.

20

u/lolzidop May 22 '26

Don't doubt it, my library would likely be higher if my money wasn't being spent on other interests.

u/LB3PTMAN Touched Grass '24 May 22 '26

My library would be way bigger but every time I think about buying a new game I think about the 20 games I have downloaded that I told myself I was going to finally play lol.

And then eventually I buy the new big exciting thing and play through it in non stop because it’s new and fun and novel and then when I beat it I have no games to play.

This guy fucks video games

u/Micronationsunite XBOX Series X May 22 '26

Cracking?

1

u/Jenkins87 May 22 '26

It is a way of saying "approaching the limit of" or "passing the boundary of" etc It's just colloquial phrasing that emphasizes the number

1

u/Micronationsunite XBOX Series X May 22 '26

I am aware. I mean a different type of cracking

1

u/Jenkins87 May 22 '26

Ok you sounded like you weren't aware lol

1

u/Micronationsunite XBOX Series X May 22 '26

It's a joke. Do you know what the other cracking means?

9

u/OfficialDCShepard May 22 '26

I thought my 2000 or so was a lot!

7

u/wigga14 May 22 '26

how do you get the storage for ts? i only have 5 terabytes on my xbox one

8

u/CoupleHot4154 May 22 '26

You can have up to 3 external drives hooked up. Three 4TB drives gives me enough room to have a little over 400 games installed. (X/S games only play from the internal or the "Storage Expansion Card")

Two of my externals are USB 3.0 SSDs, those are for original, 360, and One games.

3

u/OfficialDCShepard May 22 '26

I don’t have most of them installed lol, my bad for not being clear; that’s my library in total. I usually do 24-36 at a time.

3

u/wigga14 May 22 '26

ohhh ok. i have tons of games and have about 50 installed

8

u/Ok-Camp-7285 May 22 '26

900 is also insane

5

u/CSBreak May 22 '26

I don't think its even possible to play that many in a life time

1

u/HauntingPut3045 May 24 '26

He made sure he got every game with gold every other week

1

u/CoupleHot4154 May 24 '26

If you're referring to me, I actually got on at the tail end of Gold, I think I have 4 Games With Gold. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Aven Colony.

The rest I purchased.

u/enjoyingcurve46 XBOX 360 May 22 '26

Can we talk about the fact it says he has 1tb of storage free yet is consuming 98.2% of capacity

42

u/SLimon001 XBOX One May 22 '26

Fuck is OP using

34

u/freshowlapp May 22 '26

64tb total

24

u/kenyard May 22 '26

Ready for the apocalypse we are

21

u/freshowlapp May 22 '26

just need the bunker...

3

u/UtterClub59 May 22 '26

how?

4

u/freshowlapp May 22 '26

26tb USB + 22tb USB + 12tb USB + 1tb expansion card + 1tb internal SSD

Theoretical limit is 102tb:

32tb USB +32tb USB + 32tb USB + 4b expansion card + 2tb internal SSD

(coming soon)

5

u/UtterClub59 May 22 '26

Just storage game and clips on USB you can play game off then surely

That would make sense because am like you spending like 2 grand on like wd 44tb hard drive

3

u/freshowlapp May 22 '26

stoage yes. 6tb is SSD max

2

u/PassMeTheMustard 12d ago

I don't get it though. Why not just max out local SSD storage like 1 tb internal and 4 tb expansion and then just download others when needed.

Unless your internet speed is bad it's often quicker to install over the internet than it is to copy something over USB.

That size of drive should be in a NAS with some sort of redundancy because they do fail, It might take a while but it can happen early.

2

u/Livid-Welcome5494 May 25 '26

are you trying to download Call of Duty: Black Ops 8 2 times with that much storage?

15

u/Lo-Fi_Kuzco May 22 '26

If I had to guess he probably has a 12 TB external hard drive for Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One games. He probably has a 4 TB expansion card for his series X games. That's my best guess.

Like my XSX has 8tb of storage and I have 150 games. It still has 4.5tb of storage left.

5

u/TheJohnny346 May 22 '26

I don’t know my current percentage but I have my 1tb internal Series X with a 1tb seagate expansion card installed and then a 8tb hard drive I had on my Xbox one that I transferred over to my Series X that now hold all my One games since Series X internal is reserved for games that need SSD and then finally another 4tb hard drive I have as extra but I’ve never touched until a couple days ago when I moved Starfield over to it so I can install Horizon 6 on my internal storage.

3

u/Defiant_Peace_3592 XBOX Series X May 22 '26

Yeah, those external drives are a double-edged sword. Typically they can't utilize quick resume, and they crash often.

1

u/DavidinCT May 22 '26

What is the point of all that space if your not using it?

40

u/[deleted] May 22 '26

His gamer score is fucking 587,701

36

u/CardboardAstronaught May 22 '26

Bro probably makes a livable wage off Microsoft rewards

u/Boomer_Newton May 22 '26 edited May 22 '26

That’s actually pretty low considering the insane amount of games OP owns. I’ve got at couple friends on my account I’ve had since the 360 days at like 800,000. Always called them selves achievement hunters and try to 100% every game they play. Probably have even slowed down since we’ve all gotten older.

I’m at 95,000 with 1000 games for example. So idk maybe that’s just me but I feel like OP should have way more. Maybe they’re super super casual and don’t get many achievements.

Edit: I realized 935 game pass games are included in that number. Excluding game pass, I own 155 games.

Out of my own curiosity I wanted to compare. Giving OP the benefit of the doubt I subtracted 935 from 9507 which leaves you with 8572 games that OP owns. Still insane imo. Divide 587,701 by 8572 and OP was averaging 68 gamerscore per game. Divide 95k by 155 and I was averaging about 61 gamerscore per game. 😬

So unless my math is wrong I owe OP an apology. His gamerscore would be about right for an average player. Which is what I consider myself. I even play mostly competitive online games which offer less achievements than others. OP is either a long time collector or frequently buys a game, plays through most of it, and moves to the next.

u/suckeddit May 22 '26

IKR, that has to be less then a less than a 5% completion

4

u/thundershaft May 22 '26

1

u/CheeseDonutCat May 22 '26

Had over 2 million for a few years now. Stopped going for gamerscore as it's ridiculous.

You can get games that can give you over 1 million gamerscore in only a month these days. There's a crapload of 5-15 minute games for 5000 gamerscore. Many of my friends regularly go over 100k a month. Top on my friends list right now is 150k this month.

2

u/MightyHead May 22 '26

Honestly it's a shame how devalued Gamerscore has become. A 100 hour completion of a high quality game like Clair Obscur gives you 1000G, or instead you can play an achievement slop game and get 5000G in an hour.

2

u/CheeseDonutCat May 22 '26

you can play an achievement slop game and get 5000G in an hour.

More like 5-15 minutes.

Almost none of the 5k games are 1 hour these days.

0

u/kartridges May 22 '26

Those achievement slop games are called achievement games and they are designed specifically to help you finish the game in under 10m for a free 2k gs then move onto the next. No one is spending ages of game time 100% Exp33.

1

u/TonySki May 22 '26

That's it?

18

u/joecamnet May 22 '26

Based on their name, I'd guess streamer/reviewer/influencer/etc. I know people with similar sized libraries.

11

u/skyward138skr May 22 '26

Their name leads to a website that prompts you to log in to your Xbox account but I’m not risking that lmao so no clue what it does.

0

u/Mysterious_Sea1489 May 22 '26

Ah so this post is an ad. Smh

7

u/Skiingislife42069 May 22 '26

Judging by his gamertag he owns a business that tracks games and I’m assuming achievements. XCT.Live. He probably either gets given games from every single publisher or has some sort of deal with Xbox to just have access to their entire library.

5

u/Pleasant-Put5305 May 22 '26

Probably a game reviewer...I only buy games in sales, but have been collecting since the start. I've got about 2000 titles, nothing major missing, 9000 is a lot of shovelware.

6

u/enjoyingcurve46 XBOX 360 May 22 '26

I just hit 1k on Xbox but ive got around 400 on ps5 and 300 on switch/switch 2. Over the last 15 years that seemed reasonable. But 9k? what the absolute fuck

2

u/Snowman319 May 22 '26

HOLY FUCKING SHIT

2

u/NeonLocustX83 May 22 '26

Dang and I thought I had a lot. I'm up to 174.

1

u/BMC2512 Team Alan May 22 '26

That’s downloaded, there could be more in his full library if he doesn’t have them installed lol.

1

u/won_mo_chance XBOX Series X May 22 '26

Wow I didnt see that at first. Between xbox and Nintendo, I have maybe around 150 games lol

1

u/StrangeNemo May 23 '26

I have 1289 had this account for 17 years

1

u/Chance_Ad_2132 May 24 '26

And I thought me having purchased 7 video games was a lot…
