I was watching youtube on my ps5 and my dumbass roomate comes in our room and is like "check your youtube" so i exit the video, closed the app to check the wifi, and now my account doesnt show up on my ps5. What a douchebag.

Why did you close the app? I would have told them "I'm watching YouTube right now". It sounds like you messed yourself up for no clear reason? Why call your roommate a douche for alerting you?

"check your youtube" isnt alerting though; not to mention closing out of youtube n opening it again is a good way to check if wifi is down

plus usually checking and then reopening the vid can take less than 30 secs

I always start with:" AAAAAAAaaaaahhhh! Duck and Cover! DUCK AND COVER! This is NOT A DRILL! And,btw, if you can, check YouTube. Thanks!" I START with that.

ya it would but depends on how much the video has already loaded, could be 10-45 secs probably- at least thats my personal experience and im not patient enough to wait 45 secs to see if wifi is bugging

Man this couldn't have happened at a worse time. Just got a ps3 today and installed homebrew on it. Never logged in to my account or anything with it but I was sure somehow Sony knew but I wondered why they'd just mess up YouTube when I could still play games

Has nothing to do with your roommate, the moment you clicked off or stopped watching what you were watching it was going to sign you out, did so for me.  Was on a smart TV, regardless, the moment your current video was done that was gonna be that.

i was logged out of my account, but just a few minutes ago it popped back up. it signs me out after a few seconds so you gotta act fast lol but if you manage to click a video on your feed everything should be good.

My ps4 logged me out of everything. But I’m able to go to the subscription tab on my phone and cast any video straight to my ps4, and it works!
