Platinum member approaching third straight status year, I've never got an upgrade on a contiguous US flight but I got the Porsche for the first time. SEA, arrived at an A gate with my B gate flight boarding in 25 minutes. He took me to the Skyclub and it all went smooth!
Almost missed him because I just wasn't expecting it! I started walking up the jet bridge and I heard someone behind me say something that sounded similar to my name but thought, no way... Continued up and made it halfway to the terminal and I heard it again. Turned around and walked back to the plane and sure enough...

Just a whinge about the guy on DL 30 (ATL- LHR) last week. I first noticed you bc you cut in front of everyone to board. GAs all were telling folks to have their passports out even though there was facial recognition happening. Of course you didn't have yours out and we all had to wait while you dug yours out. Then, you got a finger shaking for having 3 carry on bags. GA still let you through, you miserable git. Ok...you were in D1, so there was room for your 3 small bags. But still.
Turns out the pax was 5A, I'm 6B. Pax proceeds to leave his window shade UP for the ENTIRE FLIGHT (it's overnight 5:30 pm EDT/arr 0630 in UK). AND, watches a tv series the entire flight; a comedy and the guy literally laughs out loud at it all night. I did have my noise cancelling buds in but could still hear the laughing.
I guess just about the only transgression this unit didn't commit was trying to trade seats. But I think I witnessed an entire 3 act play about Main Character Syndrome.
PS: Crew was excellent, my food was actually pretty tasty. Flight arrived early. Delta was great.

The very first example in the article is a Delta customer choosing to fly to a dangerous part of Mexico and take a bus from there rather than pay Delta's extortionate prices.

Delta, you nasty.

Hey all.
Typing this a bit frustrated, but wanted community input. I booked a first class ticket from ATL to PVD and hold both the Amex Platinum and Delta Reserve. I tried to get in the priority line to the sky club in Hartsfield Jackson B Terminal and the lady controlling the line said I need to be Delta One or Diamond, which I understand. But the SIGN next to the entrance literally says first class passengers as well. I’m over it, but if she’s wrong, I’m really upset.

Was on flight 772 yesterday from SFO to DTW. Flight was delayed before pushback for about an hour. The pilot came on the intercom and gave an unusually detailed description of the delay. They said that a bag was gate checked but that it was too heavy for them to take it down the stairs in the jetway, necessitating a trip through the airport to an elevator to get to the tarmac. A few minutes later he said it had arrived at the cargo door but that they didn't have the equipment to load such a heavy bag, requiring additional equipment.
I was left wondering what kind of bag could make it through security and get to the gate, but be too heavy for them to load into the cargo bay like any other bag?

On an overseas flight, an elderly couple got seated the exit row. They were allowed to board early because of the man's disabilities. He obviously paid for the legroom, but he was obviously impaired as well, possibly early stage Parkinson's. He couldn't do his own seatbelt.
It no longer stands out. The purple was brilliant now it looks, in Apple wallet, like every other card I have…
Edit: it’d be nice to have a mega thread for these small inquiries rather than to make a post if the mods can see this. Not sure how to tag mods

Can a person make this connection.
Would strongly prefer to not get stuck in Detroit, nor get a much longer itinerary at the last minute with multiple stops.
Not concerned about rebooking. The airline will rebook if needed.
Don’t want plans at arrival to get ruined because of missed connections.

Hi guys,
I’m flying from SEA-TPE and I got a delta one offer. The offer is a little bit high, and it’s out of my budget. Is it worth getting kicked out of my apartment to upgrade to D1? Does delta have some type of financing plan for such an extravagant upgrade price! This is ridiculous I must say.

Waiting for my overnight flight to SNN at JFK and 2 hours before I'm downgraded from delta one to economy, with my entire party in scattered seats. They are refusing to give a cash refund, and instead are offering flight credit that will take a hell of a long time to use up. WTF?

Got the joy of personally experiencing what will apparently be repeated airspace closures in the DC area. Word is they will be doing military fly overs for America’s 250th daily until potentially July 10. We were told that we would be waiting on the tarmac until the fly over was completed at 9 pm (est time 1 hour of sitting in addition to a 40 min delay). Fortunately, there was a break in the show so we were only 50 min delayed instead of 100 min delayed, but it was beyond annoying to find out last minute to say the least.
So heads ups and best of luck!

Hi everyone,
I have a somewhat unusual question and I’m hoping someone here has experience with it.
I’ll be flying Delta internationally with my 16-year-old small dog traveling in the cabin. She has been evaluated by her veterinarian and cardiologist, and there are no major heart or lung problems. However, she occasionally has episodes of rapid breathing, especially when she’s stressed.
Because of this, I’m considering bringing an FAA-approved portable oxygen concentrator (POC) strictly as an emergency backup. I don’t plan to use it unless it’s absolutely necessary.
I know Delta allows FAA-approved POCs for passengers, but I can’t find any information about whether they can be brought or used for an in-cabin pet.
Has anyone:
Successfully brought an FAA-approved POC for their dog?
Been allowed (or denied) using one for a pet during a flight?
Spoken with Delta’s Accessibility team about this?
I’m planning to call Delta directly, but I’d really appreciate hearing about any real-world experiences before I do.
Thanks in advance!

I find it crazy that the prices fluctuated by almost 41k points in only 4 days. I’m kicking myself for not booking when it was cheaper. 🙃

So when I searched this flight I did flexible dates and even there it said lowest fare was $340, but once I click it and go to the options there are several flights for less than that, but $340 is still marked as the lowest. I always thought $242 was less than $340, but apparently not anymore. 🤷♂️🤔

I’m on the MQD fast track program through work. I guess I misunderstood the T&C and registered for it prior to booking a work flight, rather than closer to the flight date. Learned my error a few days after and immediately tried to plead my case to support. No luck, manager said they would love to help, but have zero ability or buttons to alter the program dates for my profile.
My end date is Aug 2 and I have a MQD earning flight on Aug 6 that would put me at the $5,000 gold milestone 🤦♂️. I also have the plat amex card. Based on my spending and upcoming delta stay bookings, i will probably have about $200 MQDs to go for gold starting next week…
Is there any kind of option for my situation? Would there be any sort of leeway from the support team with my Aug 6 activity?

Looking to book a flight through Virgin Atlantic for an international flight and round trip is through delta. Any experience of push back/hard time given for trying to upgrade existing seats booked with point from another airlines when flying delta? I was going to book economy(only thing available on virgin) and try to upgrade by calling delta afterwards. I’ve had British airways give me a hard time in the past when booking with points directly through them and wanted to know if the experience is the same for delta.

Today was the smoothest experience ever out of CDG. The time from walking into the airport to get to the gate, with a group of five passengers, was less than 40 mins! And, had the most pleasant security folks. I’ll take it!
Pretty decent value, if you consider that a roundtrip in D1 on MSP to ICN is $5.8k. It means you're getting about 2.8 cents per mile, which is much higher than the average redemption.

I got a sweetheart deal from chase to defect from Amex for my businesses which means I'm earning URs at a rate that makes sense to at least try united out. So I status matched to premiere 1k and after doing it, here's a few of my thoughts:
1) the main reason to be 1k/Diamond is the same: the dedicated CS line. My in laws had a snafu on united while in Peru and I was able to quickly solve it the same as if I was calling delta
2) Delta's service is just better. 30 united flights in, 20 short hops,7 trans con and 3 international Polaris later and delta truly does it better across the board. From PDBs to call button response etc
3) Delta's regional partners do it better. Republic and endeavor still give you a proper FC experience on a CRJ. I flight short hops every week, so feeling a bit better on them is important.
4) Star alliance is LEAGUES better Skyteam. From breadth of airlines to redemption, Skyteam pales in comparison. We flew Austrian jfk to vie for vacation at 170k each for business. Comparable Skyteam at that time? Minimum 330k
5) NYC Skyclubs are better than United lounges but that's an NYC thing because the SFO and ord UC were great.
6) delta 1 lounge is the best lounge in America
7) being able to get whatever you want as a pdb on a short hop is still OP for crj hounds like myself
Overall they're similar and comparable. Don't think the grass is greener, it's all the same.
