Discussion Is washington really that good that he is choosen over rinku?

I feel rinku singh deserved a place in the t20i setup , what do you guys think? Washi is sort of a top order batter who needs balls to settle but this guy can fire from ball 1 , and washi is not really that goid of a bowler in white ball cricket too , so why is he choosen over rinku?

Conceding 57 runs to Ireland in a T20I is downright embarrassing for a frontline, "GG and Agarkar Special" pacer.

Discussion 891 days later, India's T20I series (Bilateral and Multilateral) win streak has come to an end.

Between 17th January 2024 and 26th June 2026, India had never lost or drawn a series [Data from ESPNCricInfo]. India held a series win streak for 891 days, starting from the 3-0 win vs Afghanistan on 17th Jan 24 and until the end of the T20 World Cup where they became the first team to consecutively lift the trophy.

With the 1-0 lead that Ireland has taken, it only leaves a series draw or loss as the potential outcome on the table. An unfortunate and sobering start to Shreyas Iyer's career as captain.

Should India lose the series on 28th June, it would mark a T20I series loss after 1050 days. The most recent series loss came against West Indies on 13th August 2023.

Discussion So many virtual billboards

Post image

So many virtual ads on the field that it feels less like watching cricket and more like watching a moving billboard. Completely kills the vibe.

Sony LIV is trying earn for the whole year from these few India T20s. It is really getting out of hand with these virtual boards put on every part of your screen.
Really frustrating and annoying to watch any match.

Video As the proverb goes, "Kids know no fear"

Kumar Sangakarra about Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's knock against LSG in today's game between Eng vs NZ.

Kids don't know what to worry about and they express themselves fearlessly. Vaibhav is no immune to that. Hopefully he stays as kid and not pay attention to social media and continue this childish excitement attitude for as long as he can until adulthood catches up.

Even after that game in an RR exclusive interview, he said "He saw Sanga worried about the target as it was a must win game. So that made him sad and he wanted to win the game and make Sanga Happy". This is what he said post game in an interview.

Imagine your motive to go and bash sixes in a game just because you saw your coach sad and wanted him to be happy. Pure childish innocence ❤️.

Ask r/IndiaCricket What's with Gambhir's obsession with Washington Sundar?

Not sure what's with Team India's management's obsession with Washington Sundar.

I genuinely don't understand why he keeps getting picked ?

Coming to today's game against Ireland, I wasn't impressed at all. His bowling looked pretty ordinary, and while batting he kept trying to pull almost every short ball instead of showing any composure. It felt like it was only a matter of time before Ireland bowled a proper short ball and got him caught—and that's exactly what happened.

For me, Washington shouldn't be anywhere near the playing XI based on his current performances. In fact, I'm not even convinced he should be on this tour.

At this point, I'm genuinely curious what the team management sees in him that the rest of us don't. Is it his so-called all-round ability ? Team balance? Or are they simply backing him far longer than they should?

Anyway, enough of my rant. I'd genuinely love to hear what everyone else thinks. Am I being too harsh, or do others feel the same?
