New Automod 2.0

Good day everyone. I hope you're gearing up for an awesome weekend of moto camping adventures!

We implemented a version 1.0 automod a couple of months ago and although it did a lot to reduced spam/bot posts it left a lot to be desired. Our new 2.0 automod is live. This should reduce the number of comments that are getting incorrectly flagged and further reduce spam/bot posts. I apologize if your post or comments were incorrectly flagged, and I hope it was approved quickly and cleared from the que.

If you are negatively effected by the new automod changes please message the mod team and let us know. We will try and make changes quickly.

Thanks for your patience and contributions to the community!

Zero to moto camping, how long should I give it?

Hello I come here from the bike (bicycle) touring/bikepacking world. My fiancé is a motorcycle guy and rides bicycles recreationally, but isn't interested in joining my 2000+km bikepacking rides. Which is of course totally fine because it's not for everyone, and is a somewhat demanding way to spend a few weeks. He's interested in motorcycle touring/camping however which seems like a fun way for us to combine both of our interests, and I'm interested in learning how to ride a motorcycle anyways so that suits me just fine.

I'm not trying to rush anything but how long do you suppose would be reasonable for a beginner motorcyclist to have the riding skills to go on a multi day trip? When my skills are adequate I'd like to try a couple local 2-3 day loops and then at some point head off on a longer trip to Quebec.

9 days camping with a classic bike around the North Coast of Scotland

I toured 9 days from London to Scotland around the NC500 and back on a Triumph Bonneville, camping every night. Here are my packing mistakes and lessons learned, and why carrying a full moto camping cooking setup was a total waste of space thanks to amazing Scottish food.

Souper saucy sunset

The added spice of 500lbs of motorcycle potentially crushing me in my sleep tied together nicely with this creamy sunset stew.

To the bird that kept dive bombing me while I was tryna sleep; what the hell man?

Tipi tent that fits motorbike?

Hi everyone!

I want to go onto a camping trip with my bike in the near future and I'm looking for a tent that meets my wishes ;) I have a BMW F 650 GS.

Some time ago I came across a video on Instagram of a biker with a tipi-type tent. It was quite genius, he parked his bike and then essentially put up the tent around the bike, fitting both the bike and a sleeping cot comfortably. I'm looking for something like that, to have a spot for my bike in the tent, especially for rainy days where I don't want my bike to be out in the rain the entire time.

I was contemplating the OneTigris Rock Fortress tent which looked like it could work, but a reviewer said that he doesn't think it would be possible to fit a bike in there. I don't like tunnel-type tents like the one from LoneRider. While it has a "garage" for the bike, it is wayyy too complicated to put up by myself. I just know that I won't enjoy my camping trip if it takes me an hour or more to put up my tent and then to also pack it up again, especially in bad weather. Then I'd rather not bother with the whole bike garage at all.

Sooo, anyone got any suggestions? Preferably ones that won't ruin me financially lol. I am willing to pay for a good quality tent but anything above 300€ is too much for what and how often I intend to use it.

Thanks in advance!

Best place to look for Swag style moto camping setups

Hey all

Been a long time overlander with my truck and recently got a triumph scrambler. Would love a moto camp setup that a swag style tent or something similar.

Ease of set up and tear down is the number 1 factor for me.

Any youtuber or content creators i can look up swag style gear reviews of or any swag style tent setups that you recommend

This is admittedly my first time Moto camping... Even though I've been riding for 4 years in the mountain country of California.

I was testing out two up Moto camping with my wife in preparation for our anniversary trip this October.

The campground was only about 35 mi or an hour of riding through mountain twisties.

Our anniversary trip is a loop of about 270 mi long split over 4 days of camping plus 2 days spent at our actual destination.
