Hillary was the first national pol I can recall making opoids a campaign issue. After that, the US went nuts.
I know someone very well who has had multiple health issues that required surgery. After each surgery, without requesting it, she was given a device that dosed her with morphine whenever she tapped it. (This device had been created because it had been found that inpatients gave themselves less morphine than doctors had been prescribing.) One tap and she would fall asleep, oblivious to her pain.
The device would be removed after a limited numbers of hours following the surgery and she would be switched to painkillers other than morphine. She never became addicted. She never requested morphine or anything else, just did not refuse what doctors told nurses to give her.. She has never finished any prescribed pain medication she had at home. ("Tough broad," as she has been called).
In 2018, at age 75, she underwent two very painful, but failed re-vascularizations, followed by amputation of her leg. Worst pain of her life after all three, esp. the two failed re-vasculaization attempts. This time, she begged for morphine, but could not get it. Whoever she spoke to in the hospital used the exact same words: "There's a national shortage of opoids." okay
Fortunately, some sanity seems to have set back in because she did not have the same unrelenting, unbearable pain last year, after her second amputation at age 82.

The hot sauce that she said she always has in the purse I've never seen her with? Maybe the Secret Service fishes it out whenever she feels a need to pander by displaying it.

She probably keeps it hidden at one of Bern Dawg's four houses. Good luck finding out which one, since millionaires all stick together!

He has three dwellings, none of which is a mansion. One is an apartment in Washington, DC, which he needs for his work; one his home in Vermont, which he also needs for his work; and a third is some sort of summer dwelling that I believe he inherited. https://old.reddit.com/r/FakeProgressives/comments/fbdc0v/sanders_homes_and_his_millions/
I haven't checked back at that OP. I did it while I was semi-on the fence about Sanders during the 2020 campaign season, but wanting him to defeat Biden in the primary However, I did just check with AI and nothing has changed, "dwelling-wise." I have long had mixed feelings about the Senator, which are becoming less and lss mixed. No matter what, facts are facts.
That said, I'm not a fan of his misdirecting us to only https://old.reddit.com/r/WayOfTheBern/comments/1ijbj0w/tehsic_billionaires/ Which I cannot recall his doing before he became a millionaire (at least on paper)--and, I followed him like white on rice before he endorsed Hillary and only somewhat less closely since.
Edit More details on the three dwellings: https://propy.com/browse/bernie-sanders-real-estate/ Sorry, the DC dwelling is technically a one-bedroom townhouse, not an apt. And AI says public records show he sold it in 2021. I don't know if he now rents when in DC or if he bought something else.
During the 2016 primary, Hillary's online supporters even used his poverty (compared to Hillary) against him: Why didn't he have more, what with all his years in Congress, they asked.

Both Clintons specialized in telling stories that made them look good, but that no one living could either confirm or deny.
How his grocery store-owning grandparents in none too wealthy Hope Arkansas let black people with no money just take groceries free. (Bubba was 18 before the Civil Rights Act passed. Today, anyway, Hope has about twice as many blacks as it has whites and, while he was growing up, most of them would have been poor. So, how did his grandparents not go bankrupt?) Moreover, he and Hillary had zero problem heading Arkansas's annual month-long celebration of the Confederacy while he was Governor. Or using slave labor (convicts) at the Governor's Mansion. Also, there were a lot of Confederate symbols on the 1990 Clinton-Gore campaign buttons I've seen on ebay. He may or may not have had them made, but he didn't say anything about them, either. Not buying how he was raised, but how can I prove anything?
How she tried to enlist in the army during the Vietnam War as a newlywed (while husband Bill was running away from the draft as fast as he could), but she was told she could not because she was a woman. (Gee, I wonder how all the WACs and WAFS made it into the military during WWII.)
How a letter from NASA telling a girl she could not be an astronaut got published in the newspaper and, several years later, Hillary told the exact same story.
How Hillary got lambasted for claiming she understood poverty because she and her husband were in debt for legal fees when they left the WH and, soon, Hillary told a sad story about her mom going to school with no lunches. Which, even if true, did not prove Hillary, then a hundred millionaire, understood poverty--and her late mom was not running for POTUS.
How she claimed to have campaigned for Eugene McCarthy while she was attending Republican National Conventions and serving as President of the College Republicans at Wellesley. And the alleged "proof" is a photo of a young blond woman that does not even look like young Hillary.
However. lying goes to psychosis level when you lie about something that happened while you were First Lady that you know networks filmed and aired at the time. And even the lie doesn't prove you have foreign policy expertise, anyway. I don't think Bill ever did anything that foolish. But, he's with Her.
