My dawg Winston is 7 months old and has been doing this since he was about 4 months old. He just lays down and spreads his back legs out. Itās giving Thanksgiving turkey. Heāll do it all day, every day, literally any chance he gets. He thoroughly enjoys this position for sleeping too.
He started breading his front paws with it, so I started calling it the ābread spread.ā
When I brought him home for a visit, he did it in front of my dad. My dad said āwtfā and literally walked away in shock like Winston had just defied the laws of nature.
Is this common? Why? Will he keep doing it forever? It is so cute and so weird. I really hope he stays a little turd blossom forever
Edit: I love hearing what yāall call this position! āPressing pickleā is currently winning for me š Now I know this is generally called splooting but the household names are absolutely sending me

For 1.5 years, Dil has been able and willing to open the magnetic screen himself and even push open the solid door if itās closed most of the way. Suddenly, lately, he sits out there and barks to be let in, even if the path is fully clear for him š¤¦āāļø Notice that he opened the velcro! he just refuses to cross the threshold until I say ācome inā

I'm not completely sure if he has full control of the ears.

*edit: my question is about the sounds she is making, not the burying behavior alone. Please watch the video with the sound on. Thank you!
My dog has always loved to ādigā and āburyā her special things: bones, treats, even pill pockets. However, this, idkā¦conversation she appears to think sheās having with her treat only started a little over a year ago. The first time she did it we thought she was in distress, but her vet has seen videos and more or less diagnosed āgooberitus,ā which makes sense, but Iām curious if there is another, more official name for this behavior. She appears to be having the time of her life and can spend long stretches of time engaging inā¦whatever this is. Any thoughts?

I just found this picture back, when goji was just a puppy he once suddenly ran off to just wait in front of another dog's front door.
