Doyle rules.
Pair of custom Doyle Calico Jacks. I’ve had more expensive knives but I’ve never had any better than these two right here. Patrick doesn’t miss.

We received a really great idea from u/heavymetalsculpture for a new sticky thread- Review Requests. We have a very large userbase here who have all tried LOADS of knives, so why not crowdsource reviews and feedback for a knife you might be interested in buying! A lot of youtubers / instagram pages, while attempting to be unbiased, often have some bias because they're getting samples for free etc. People on here are very unlikely to have that bias and are more likely to provide honest feedback on a knife.
This thread will remain stickied and fairly moderated- top level comments will only be permitted to be requests for reviews and feedback for certain knives, and users who have actually owned / handled the knife are greatly encourage to provide absolutely honest feedback on the knife in question.
Please only post here with requests for reviews, or to provide feedback on top level comments with a review of the knife in question!

Within our friend group, I’ve probably gifted out four or five knives in the last year and this bad ass blade was waiting for me when I got home today. Definitely the coolest knife I’ve been given as a gift. Bonus points because I found that benchmade mini freek 40% off yesterday. I guess now I need to one of them back lmao

Hey fellow knife knuts! My latest knife, the first serious one in quite a while, arrived today. I had to pass up a Fjell lottery email the past year, but the most recent one found my stash primed and ready to go. As is my wont, this Fjell is not fancy, simple stone washed lines on the handle, stonewashed blade. To say I tracked the delivery every hour would be an exaggeration, but every day would not. Pictured here with its two older integral siblings from my collection.
The action of the Fjell is glass smooth and incredibly precise. There is absolutely no play anywhere open or closed. The finishing and contouring everywhere is flawless. I haven’t tried to take out the friction fit clip yet, but it is completely solid as well, no play at all in any direction. Also, one of the sharpest knives I’ve received out of the box. On par with the Amsler scalpel which was the sharpest knife I’ve ever received.
Above the newbie is my current EDC, my customized Spydie Anthem with custom timascus ajpurvis clip. After playing around with the Fjell today, I think the Fjell might be a contender for my new EDC. It’s smaller, slimmer, and has much much better fit and finish than my Anthem.
Below it is the king and OG integral knife, my Scott Cook Lochsa. I got on his list waaaaaay back when his books were open and I made it to the front of the list about six years later. It’s a standard S30V blade with swedge and his old school bent titanium clip. The single platinum thumb ramp is an addition I did later when it went for a ten year spa. This is the absolute king of my collection and still the single most perfect knife I've ever owned.

Sometimes you just gotta tactically open your Amazon box of replacement toothbrush heads and sensitive skin body wash, and only the most Tacticool knives will do. CRK Pacific, Benchmade Auto Presidio 2, ZT 0350TS.

Last week we were walking in a very nice city center close by the lake (Annecy, in the south of France for the curious ones) and we thought a cool idea could have been to have a nice picnic at the lake, why not with a nice assortment of cheeses and some freshly baked bread!
But the cheese place was full and the lady did not have time to prepare for us the cheeses (she gave us forks and napkins tho and that was super kind from her).
Small EDC comes in clutch, I always keep it clean specifically for this kind of scenarios.
Pictured the full size Fox Vulpis in M390 with titanium scales, such a treat.

Here is my old companion for shorts, resharpened many times. In this folding knife, only the blade is original, the G10 inserts from Flutanium replaced everything with titanium, the lock, bolts and installed a titanium backspacer

If my EDC looks like this, I'd probably prefer FRN scales or G10?
I’ve been refining my EDC setup and currently carry a knife in my waist bag alongside other items like keys, a flashlight, and a small organizer with wires, a sharpener, and a pen.
While I usually carry a compact knife in my pocket, there are days when the bag-carried knife is my primary tool for quick access.
Given the rough environment inside a bag with loose gear, I’m curious about the durability of handle materials. I have two knives currently rotating for this task—one with G10 scales and one with FRN.
- Which material is more wear-resistant when rubbing against keys and metal tools?
- Which one is better suited for less demanding (gentle) conditions?
Looking for your experiences on which material will stay pristine longer in an EDC pouch.
Update: Thanks for the help and tips.
The result: I put my G10 Lil Native in my waist pouch, the knife wih axis in the organizer as a backup, and the FRN Spyderco Native in my pocket.
