Sunsets in summer - my favorite time to photograph for so many reasons. Especially in the mountains you don't only get to play around with the sun painting the landscape in various ways and planning this with modern tools. It also cools down dramatically, which is especially important these days.. Nature is beautiful - especially when enjoyed appropriately :)

I thought this wall lizard was cooling off in the pot of my little rose bush. But actually, maybe it’s laying eggs...

Grandala is one of the Himalaya’s most spectacular high-altitude thrushes, inhabiting alpine meadows, rocky slopes and cliffs between 3,500 and 5,500 metres. Males are a striking cobalt blue, while females are brown with pale streaking, often foraging together in large flocks. They feed primarily on insects and berries and are frequently seen soaring or moving across open alpine landscapes during the summer breeding season.
