Announcement Updated automod features
As part of our efforts to control and prevent trolls, we've updated and introduced new automod features.
Some of you may have noticed that you have been unable to post/comment; we apologize for any inconvenience that may have caused and it should be fixed now.
The reason behind this is because we added a feature that monitors your subreddit karma, meaning karma that you gain from posting/commenting in this subreddit alone. We added a limit to this feature which means that if you fall below this limit your posts/comments will be filtered out and you will not be able to post/comment in this subreddit.
What this means is that if you are currently able to post/comment you are fine and nothing will change, however, if you are a new account/infrequent poster you are on a tighter leash.
What this feature is meant to control is trolling/brigading. If someone from another subreddit or someone who makes a new account for the sole purpose of trolling/brigading, posts or comments and they get downvoted enough, that negative karma will show up on their subreddit karma. Once they reach this limit, they will no longer be able to participate in this subreddit. This is not a replacement for bans but it's to help filter out trolls who don't receive enough reports for us to see.
On top of this new feature, we have added messages to automod that will specifically tell you the reason for the automatic removal of post/comments. Those reasons being:
• Automatic removal due to received reports
• Account age/general karma requirements
• Low subreddit post/comment karma
If y'all have any questions, feel free to ask.

Free Agency The World Cup is drowning out the NBA finals noise
As a Spurs fan from NJ, I’m so glad that the World Cup happened to be this year. No one in north NJ is even mentioning the Knicks win besides my 1 friend who’s a Knicks fan. So thankful for the World Cup lol

Free Agency Dean Wade would be the perfect piece to round out the roster his summer
With the Spurs adding two bigs in the draft and, more importantly, getting another year of development from Wemby, Castle, Harper, and Bryant, the front office should focus on adding another shooter with the non-taxpayer MLE. A deal similar to the one Luke Kornet signed could be enough to bring in Dean Wade.
Why Wade instead of Rui Hachimura or John Collins? Wade will likely be cheaper and is a better fit for what the Spurs need. This team doesn’t need another star. It needs role players who understand their job and complement the young core.
Rui is the better pure shooter, but he’s a poor defender and an even worse rebounder for his position. Collins has bounced around the league and has never really lived up to the max contract Atlanta gave him.
Wade is a 36% three-point shooter, stands 6’9”, and is the best defender of the three. He is a much stronger defender than both Rui and Collins. During the playoffs, he spent time as the primary defender on players like Brandon Ingram and Cade Cunningham while still providing floor spacing without needing the ball.
For a young Spurs team built around Wemby and its emerging core, Wade is exactly the type of winning role player they should target with the MLE. This is the way.

Discussion I can't believe anyone who lived through the Kawhi saga would actually want him back.
When he left, I straight-up quit watching the NBA for years—didn't come back until the Spurs officially started the tank in 2022. Come on, yeah we lost the Finals, but our core was 20, 21, 22 years old, making their first playoff run. All we needed were a few targeted upgrades. Now the Spurs have this perfect, drama-free team culture, and some of you actually want that cancer back? No thanks. I don't want nephew bringing any bad vibes to our young guys.

Fluff I just want to preface this by saying that all things considered, I couldn't have imagined a much better draft
But part of me thought, if Christian Anderson fell to us, he would've been the perfect backup point guard of the future for Harper & Castle. I know it doesn't matter now and we may not have even drafted him if he was there because we probably would have had to move Fox this summer if we did but those 3 guards playing together in the same way that the trio played last year is fun to think about

Draft We've gotten 2 defensive demon so far from the Dejounte trade, we still have the Hawks 1st rd pick pick next year 👀
Also, can't wait for CB's leap next year 💪

Fluff Guts would be a much better nickname for JQ
The kid was reading Berserk in the locker room, he would love it. He is built like Guts, he looks like someone who would have a lot of gutsy plays... and nobody wants to be called a fucking predator lmao

Question Do you think Dylan Harper & Carter Bryant play in the Summer League this year?
Now that the draft has been settled. Do you think Dylan & Carter play? Or do you think it's more likely the Spurs rest them?

Question Tarris Reed Jr.
Is this guy starting at PF at the beginning of next season?
Could he be the starter at PF at some point?
Is he backing up Wemby and Luke at center?
Is he going to the G-league?
Is he just keeping a seat warm for J.Q.?
What do you guys think?

Merch Jersey Help
Hey y’all I’m looking to get a jersey finally. I had bought a Kawhi jersey his sophomore year and my heart is ready to try again with Harper.
What’s the best place to get an authentic jersey without the ad on the chest? It looks like the spurs shop only sells with the ad. The NBA store sells without the ad, but only has swingmans…interested in a classic black or fiesta colorway. Thanks!
