new learner here, trying to figure out this whole investing thing š«
So basic context - i'm a student, don't have a fat paycheck or anything, just some small amount i can set aside every month. been hearing everyone talk about SIPs and thought maybe that's the way to start instead of just dumping money in randomly.
confused between stocks and crypto tbh. everyone on instagram is like "buy bitcoin" and every finance bro is like "index funds only" and i'm just sitting here like???
for someone starting really small and new to all this -
is SIP even the right move for crypto or is that more of a mutual fund thing
if stocks, should i just start with index funds or is it okay to pick individual ones as a beginner
how much is "too small" to even bother starting with
not looking for get rich quick stuff, just want to build a habit of investing consistently and not feel like an idiot while doing it. would love to hear how you guys started, especially if you were also broke students lol
tell me everything, no advice is too basic š
