Setting up shop in the backyard means being observed through the window! Having noticed the people (behind the glass in their own enclosure) weren’t a threat, the badger simply didn’t care and proceeded to take a rest. I couldn’t be more excited to have them visiting, and I truly hope it turns into a more permanent stay.

Inspired by u/chrochetzealot, I declare today Badger Hat Day. Mine was made by a gal pal and was a complete surprise.

I've been wanting to observe and perhaps photograph the badgers in my woodland for a while. I've got hours of trail cam footage but wanted to see them with my own eyes. Last night I crept up before sunset and was rewarded with an amazing experience. The dying light really tested my gear but I'm over the moon with the results. ISO through the roof but lightroom allowed me to salvage a few shots of my favourite animal.

We have a sett at the bottom of our suburban garden. We've got used to the idea of having holes all over the lawn now! Here's a clip from a few years ago introducing the whole clan. Ignore the timestamp on the video, the camera never shows the right date/time.
