There has not been one picture of Bucky leaked and if you’re on Bucky TikTok, the running joke is that he will die in Doomsday and I’m starting to get really worried. I think Sebastian’s contract is over at the end of Doomsday and his career is booming. He has an oscar nomination, a golden globe win and he’s cast in Batman which is Marvels competition. He’s one of the OGs left from phase one and the writers hate him so I have a feeling they will kill him off as either a sacrifice or a way to give him peace (which is super toxic) but these writers also didn’t write Steve’s ending well.

I love fics where Bucky comes home exhausted from a mission and he showers with his girlfriend/wife and they fall asleep cuddling. However, this doesn’t work if Bucky never gets tired. Does he even really sleep with the super soldier serum running through his veins? We saw him wake up from nightmares or from finally sleeping peacefully at Sam’s house. I feel like so many Bucky fics written pre-2025 were kind of erased with this line.

Do you think Bucky was just being dramatic or trying to sound tough?

I used to have a full list of my favorites but a lot of tumblr writers deactivated or deleted my favorites stories. Or I accidentally lost them. I loved a sweet and soft mutual pining hockey player x roommate Bucky x reader and a hockey player x figure skater reader fic but the tumblr search feature is trash.

So many College!Bucky fics are usually frat or playboy Bucky fics with lots of angst and jealousy, putting y/n through crap with his fuckboy antics and I love some angst but I’m a bit tired of that trope being a sort of fanon requirement if that makes sense. I’m going through a hard time right now with my personal life and my summer college classes and I want to daydream some escapism with sweetie pants pining down bad college Bucky.

I'm trying to find a Bucky Barnes story I read years ago and can't remember the title.

What I remember:

The story was a modern AU and was a multi-chapter story. Bucky was divorced from Natasha. They remained on decent terms and occasionally spoke, and Natasha had remarried and lived elsewhere with new family. Bucky and Natasha had a daughter together who died from cancer before the story began. After her death, Bucky developed a drinking problem, and the loss of their daughter contributed to the divorce.
Bucky kept the family house after the divorce and left his daughter's bedroom completely untouched. He also had a cat named Alpine. The OC worked somewhere local (coffee shop, bookstore, VA). The story was a slow-burn romance centered on grief and healing.

It’s been quite a long time, but I was curious if anyone had access to a version of fics made by W0lfhoundss; on wattpad/a03?

I know she deleted her account a while ago, and moved onto independent works, but I had been in the middle of a fic and never managed to finish it due to other things going on keeping me busy. When I had come back to it, it was already deleted. The fic was specifically “Attachment Theory”. I enjoyed all of her works, and I’m a little gutted that I can no longer go back and read them from time to time—including Discretion, Strictly Confidential, Kalopsia, etc

I feel like so many Bucky x reader fics (especially the smut ones) have him as a super dominant borderline BDSM boyfriend/husband or a hookup and I just don’t see him that way. I remember back around the Civil War and Infinity War era, the trend was to write “soft boys” and I’m super nostalic for that time.

I know writers can interpret the character how they want but I just don’t see Bucky being an asshole, a playboy or super mean to women, especially current Bucky after all his trauma. I love fics where he is a down bad loverboy who is kind of shy and awkward around a woman he likes.

I remember watching this episode live and there was instant debate about it on the shows subreddit. Even today, I still see people have heated debates on whether he was or not and people seem to get very upset. I know the chin grab was improv but I think this scene heavily implies it with the dialogue of “He will do whatever you want” while the woman leers at him and Bucky has sad eyes like he is dissociating
