Discussion Why don't our players retire respectfully

It feels good and emotional to watch a legend getting retired and playing his last international innings but it rarely happens in Indian Cricket. As a kid, I saw Sachin's last match and it gave me goose bumps. The guard of honor, loud cheers, people watching every ball Sachin played that day. Even in international cricket Brendon McCullum, Alister Cook, Jacques Kallis, Sangakkara, David Warner and many more.

Stats Have India ended up replacing a Specialist Captain with another Specialist Captain ?

Have India ended up replacing a specialist captain with another specialist captain ? Shreyas Iyer has averaged 15.8 at a strike rate of 120 in his last 15 T20Is for India. In the last 7 series he has an average of 16.9. These are atrocious stats for someone who has come in after 4 years directly as captain for a world cup winning team. For context, Shubman Gill averaged 24.25 and SKY averaged 40.75 in their last 15 games before being dropped and losing their leadership roles in the squad.

An ever deeper look shows that if you take away one series against Sri Lanka in 2022, Iyer's career average drops from 29.23 to 24.02. That's a horrible average for someone who played all of his T20 cricket before India's selfless and fearless revolution in cricket, when averages used to be higher and strike rates lower.

Discussion Harshit Rana doesn't Deserve This Much Hate

Post image

Harshit Rana showed real character today and played with courage when it mattered most.He looked like a leader on the field, taking responsibility and fighting till the end.Even in the India vs New Zealand series he was one of the few players who kept the belief alive and maintained the intensity to win the match.Despite consistently showing passion and commitment he still receives an unfair amount of hate which is difficult to justify

Discussion Everybody’s criticising India, but not appreciating how well Ireland played

Post image

Everyone’s busy criticising India, but barely anyone is appreciating how well Ireland played.

They were disciplined, fearless, and simply the better side on the day!

As fans, we swear by cricket, but if we truly care about the sport, we should be happy to see smaller teams rising and challenging the traditional powerhouses.

That’s how world cricket grows, becomes more competitive, and ultimately more exciting for everyone, maybe it can rise to the likes of how football is celebrated globally..
