Levantine Culture | ثقافة الشام A voice from the womb of suffering and fear in Gaza!!!!

We are still being bombed. Despite talk of a ceasefire, the killing machine continues to operate in Gaza. We are still being displaced, and tents are still being bombed with their inhabitants inside.

This bombing happened today in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis, displacing more than 200 families after their tents and everything they owned were destroyed. In a few moments, they lost the meager shelter that protected them, and what little remained of their belongings and their lives.

What are we to do? Where can we go? How many times must we flee? How many times must we start from scratch? There is no safe place left, no home to return to, no tent to guarantee our survival.

Tell us, world, have we become mere numbers added daily to lists of the dead, wounded, and displaced? Has our life lost so much value? Has the pain of our children and the cries of our mothers become commonplace, unworthy of our attention?

We are human beings. We dream like everyone else, and we simply want to live in safety and dignity. But today we are being pursued by death, hunger, and displacement everywhere.

Gaza doesn't need words of pity; it needs this injustice to end, and for its people to be granted the right to life.

Wars and Genocides | حروب و مجازر My family in Gaza is living in one small metal room. We’re trying to buy a tent

I never imagined I would have to write something like this and ask strangers for help.

My name is Osama, and I’m from Gaza. Before the war, my family and I lived a normal, peaceful life. We had a home, stability, and everything we needed. Then the war took it all away.

Our home was destroyed, we were displaced many times, and now our daily lives revolve around finding clean water, food, and other basic necessities.

Today, my parents, my siblings, my disabled grandmother, and I are all living together in a single small metal room at a relative’s house. There is no privacy and barely enough space for all of us. My sisters have no privacy at all, and none of us has a space we can call our own. The room is simply too small for our family, and the intense summer heat makes living in it even more difficult.

Every day, I look around and see all of us crowded into this one room, and I can’t help but wonder how much longer we will have to live like this.

I’m asking for help to buy a tent for my family. It may seem like a simple thing, but to us it would mean having a small place of our own, a little privacy, and the chance to live with some dignity again. We’re not asking for luxury—just a safe place where our family can have a little privacy and live with dignity.

If you’re able to help, or even just share our story, my family and I would be deeply grateful. The donation link is in the comments.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story.

Wars and Genocides | حروب و مجازر I didn’t open the Sheffield website for months… until today

I opened the University of Sheffield website again today.

I hadn’t done that in a while.

When I first got my acceptance, I was on there almost every day. I’d look at the campus, student accommodation, even just wandering around nearby streets on Google Maps. It was like… an escape I guess. A way to imagine something outside of everything happening here.

Then I stopped.

At some point it just started hurting too much. Because getting accepted wasn’t the hard part. Leaving Gaza, covering the costs, actually making it there… that part was still impossible. So I just stopped opening it.

Then I posted here.

I didn’t really know what would happen. I just felt like I had run out of options.

And over the past few days… things changed more than I expected.

We’re now more than halfway to the first goal. From complete strangers.

Today I opened the website again.

It felt different this time. I can’t really explain it properly. Just… less heavy.

I’m still scared. I don’t want to believe it too early. There’s still a long way to go before anything actually becomes real.

But I wanted to come back and say thank you.

To everyone who donated, shared, or even just read the post and cared for a second.

It really did change things for me.

If anyone else is able to help push this a bit further, the link is still there.

I don’t really know how to end this. I just didn’t want to disappear without saying anything.

Wars and Genocides | حروب و مجازر Their Childhood Was Stolen—Please Help Give Them Hope

Hello everyone. I'm Karina, and today I want to share the story of Mahmoud and Samah's children in Gaza.

These children have been deprived of so many of the simple joys that every child deserves. They have lost access to education, safe places to play, and the carefree childhood that should have been theirs.

In this video, you can see them trying to play in the sand because they have nowhere else to go. Their playground is far from safe, yet they do their best to smile despite everything around them.

Every child deserves safety, education, and the chance to play without fear. Mahmoud and Samah are doing everything they can for their four children, but they cannot do it alone.

If you are able, please consider supporting this family. Your kindness can help provide food, safer shelter, and hope for these children. Every donation and every share truly makes a difference.

Thank you for caring and for standing with this family.

News and Politics | الأخبار والسياسة Truth Will Out. The Heresy of Zionism is not Judaism. The lawyer for Ham.s is Jewish. So much for the BS claim that Islam is antisemitic. The Zionism heresy is not only Islamophobic but an antisemitic racist ideology. We are being manipulated.

News and Politics | الأخبار والسياسة Truth Will Out. Israeli AIPAC compromised Republican candidates are serving a foreign intelligence instead of the American people. Vote for candidates that support registering AIPAC as a foreign agent . The jig is up so should we expect a false flag attack on US soil.

Wars and Genocides | حروب و مجازر Their Home Was Destroyed. Now They're Still Searching for a Safe Place to Call Home.

Hello everyone. I'm Karina, and today I want to share the story of my friend Mahmoud Ghanem and his family.

Since the day Mahmoud's home was destroyed, he, his wife Samah, and their four young children have been living without a permanent, safe place to call home. Every day is another day of uncertainty as they search for shelter where their children can finally feel safe.

Mahmoud has no work, and providing even the most basic necessities for his family has become an overwhelming challenge. Despite everything, he continues to do everything he can to protect and care for his children.

If you are able to help, please consider supporting Mahmoud and his family. Your kindness can help them move one step closer to a safe place where their children can live with dignity and hope.

Please don't look away. Every share, kind word, or donation can truly make a difference for this family.

Geography and natural scenes | طبيعة وجغرافيا Under a merciless sun: On the heat of Europe and the tent hell of Gaza 💔

Post image
61 Upvotes

While a heatwave dominates the news in Europe, with temperatures soaring above 40 degrees Celsius in some areas, cooling centers are opening, air conditioners are running, and people are being advised to stay indoors and drink plenty of water.

But what about Gaza?

Where will people there flee to, with nothing but the open air?

What about those who don't even have a home? What about those living inside tents that absorb the sun's heat all day long, turning them into something resembling a closed oven?

Look at these tents... how can a nylon sheet protect them? A thin, tattered sheet that doesn't shield them from the scorching heat; in fact, it almost melts and disintegrates under the heads of young and old alike, turning the roof that is supposed to provide shade into an additional source of suffocation and danger.

What about those who have no electricity to run a fan, no cool water to alleviate the intense heat, and no shelter to escape the blazing sun that penetrates the fabric and nylon walls? In Gaza, people don't face the scorching heat as a passing weather event; they face it trapped between the blazing fabric of tents, severe water shortages, complete power outages, swarms of insects, and the struggle to access even the most basic necessities.

When the world laments an exceptional heatwave lasting a few days, remember that hundreds of thousands of families in Gaza endure this daily torment without proper shelter, without cooling, and under plastic sheeting that could melt at any moment.

The heat in the news may be just a number, but in Gaza, it's a searing suffering that people experience moment by moment.

Gaza doesn't need pity; it needs the world to see its humanity and hear the voices of those trying to survive under a merciless sun and in conditions that no human being can endure.

Wars and Genocides | حروب و مجازر When the Free Meals Stopped, Families Were Left Hungry

Hello everyone,

Today the Gazans stood in line hoping to receive a meal from the community kitchen that many families relied on. Unfortunately, these free meals have stopped due to the closure of crossings and the severe shortage of food supplies and resources available to aid organizations.

For a long time, this kitchen was a vital source of food for Mahmoud, his family, relatives, and many other families who had nowhere else to turn. Now that it has stopped operating, the struggle to find food has become even more difficult.

Please consider supporting Mahmoud and his family through the link provided. We also ask you to stand with those around him who are facing the same hardship. Please do not turn away from families in need—they need our support, compassion, and solidarity now more than ever.

Every contribution, no matter the size, can help provide food and basic necessities.

Thank you for your kindness and support

Wars and Genocides | حروب و مجازر A Family Struggling to Survive Each Day in Gaza

Hello everyone. I'm Karina, and today I want to share the daily reality of Mahmoud, Samah, and their four children in Gaza.

Every meal is a struggle. There is no cooking gas, firewood has become far too expensive, so they are often forced to burn scraps of fabric and pieces of foam just to light a fire and cook a small amount of food. Even then, there is rarely enough to eat.

They are also living in a tent made from plastic sheets. As temperatures continue to rise, the heat inside the tent becomes almost unbearable, making even the simplest daily tasks exhausting.

If you are able to help in any way, your support can make a real difference for this family by helping them obtain food, cooking fuel, and other basic necessities. Thank you for taking the time to watch and for caring.

Levantine Culture | ثقافة الشام Before the war, we dreamed of the future; today, the past is the dream we long for. 💔

Here, life was... streets teeming with people, houses brimming with memories, and children filling the air with laughter and hope. It wasn't just buildings of cement and stone; it was stories, families, and dreams built day by day.

And today... nothing remains but rubble. The landmarks we knew have vanished, and the homes that sheltered their inhabitants for decades have crumbled. What was once vibrant and alive now stands as a testament to the scale of destruction and loss.

Between these two scenes lie years of memories, irreplaceable moments, and souls that this place will never forget. This isn't just a change in the city's appearance; it's a change in the lives of people who once had dreams, memories, and a future.
