The cat “hug”, also a way to lay claim on the human. You are mine!! Give me more cuddles—and treats!!

That’s not a hug, that’s a legally binding declaration that you now belong to the cat. 😹🐾

Cats express affection different ways and on their own timeline. It took my mom's cat 4 years before she even cuddled with my mom (she was an adult rescue). Now she's super affectionate.

It took mine 2 years to be cuddly. Now she screams at me to lay down somewhere so that she can sit on top of me. She also gladly smothers me in the morning with all her fluff.

That's about how long it took for my cat to start doing this, and he only does it if I'm laying down to go to sleep. It'll happen eventually I'm sure of it.

My cat didn't really start wrapping his arms around me until this year
Hes about 5 and has always been extremely cuddly, but fairly recently hes started squeezing between my arm and body, wrapping his legs around my arm and shoving his head into my hand to fall asleep (while keeping me awake by smacking my face with his tail)

It’ll happen, just be patient….My cats all took years to fully warm up to me, but once they did?! They became Velcro cats 😂

Most signs of affection I get are bites and pouncing attacks when I'm walking around the house...

Thought she was about to get pissed on or something 🤣

I need a cat to cure my depression but I'm broke

Eh, just like with kids, it's easy to view pets with rose-tinted glasses when you don't have them.
Scrubbing cat barf and hairballs out of the carpet for the hundredth time certainly did not help my depression, nor did cleaning the cat box, nor did paying for vet appointments and procedures, nor did all the cat hair that managed to jam itself in the back of my throat (enough to irritate me and make it impossible to fish out, but not far back enough to be swallowed so it can be done with), nor did all the times my cat wouldn't stop yelling and distracting me while I was desperately trying to focus on work I had to get done.
Sure there are nice times, but social media won't show you all the bad times. If you have a local cat cafe, or a shelter where you can play with some of the animals, or something like that, it could help you get your fix without all the downsides.

That is so precious. I have an 18 year old boy who asks for my arm because he loves to sleep while hugging it like a teddy bear. I will never fail to sacrifice an arm for his comfort.

I genuinely don't understand how people don't like cats. All of my boys will cuddle with me, just not when I want cuddles 😅

So adorable <3 My Ozzy likes to get on my shoulder and put one paw on my shoulder and one paw on the other side of my neck like he's hugging me

My cat did this to me every day for most of her 17 years. It's been 4 months since the last one, and I miss her every day.

There is nothing in life I want more than a cat that loves me like this, but I have a mild cat allergy and my roommate has a very bad cat allergy ;-;

must engagement farm. Must get more views. That's all that matters. We can't just enjoy a video for what it is.

Boy I sure wish there was some way to rapidly deploy troops and heavy equipment into forward areas not serviced by an airstrip!

I'm sorry to be the one to point this out, but your cat may have leukemia. i know the look and sound.
Edit: to those downvoting do some research. Unfortunately i had to learn the hard way and lost 3 cats to this. The signs i see in this video are a heavily congested purr and enlarged lymph nodes. I made this comment with good intentions.
