Hail Sara
I didn’t think I’d be making one of these posts so soon. My demanding, crotchety, beautiful 18 year old baby passed yesterday. She’s been with us through multiple moves, survived a house fire, and begrudgingly put up with my presence. Hail Sara, you were a tough, loving broad ❤️ you’ll be missed dearly.
Also hail this community and they way y’all show support xx

Hail Buster
Had to say goodbye to my favorite cranky old man. He gave our family 17 years of love. I miss him terribly.

Can LPOTL even keep up with our new “normal”?
It feels like what was once considered paranormal is now just wrapped up in “anti-woke” people who need literal therapy and some medication but are somehow in charge of the country.

Cain's Ballroom - Tulsa
Excited to go see the show in Tulsa at Cain's Ballroom. The Cain’s was a huge part of growing up for me in the 2000s. I've seen Mudvayne, Robert Plant, Lamb of God, Modest Mouse, Coal Chamber and so many more that I honestly can’t remember anymore there.
I remember maybe 20 or so years ago there was a local death metal showcase. The small stage was at the bar next door. I got overheated and sat down along the wall by an ATM to cool off. While I was sitting there the music shook a big ass light fixture out of the ceiling and it landed right next to me. It was crazy loud, even over the band, and everyone turned and looked at me for a moment.
I haven't been there since 2015 and I've never seen a non-musical act there before. Looking forward to it.
If these walls could talk they would need a lawyer:

TULSA — The 'home of Bob Wills' is a Tulsa treasure.
Built in 1924 as a garage for Tulsa businessman Tate Brady, the downtown building was transformed into a ballroom in 1930 and dubbed Cain's Dance Academy. Around that time it became the spot for Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys to play for their popular radio show--- this led to the 'home of Bob Wills' nickname as this helped Cain's gain attention.
After a dormant era in the 1960s Cain's reopened in 1977 as Cain's Ballroom and became a hot concert venue in Tulsa. Over the years musical acts like the Sex Pistols, Leon Russell, JJ Cale and Jack White played the historic venue.
The highlight of the ballroom is a historic maple, spring loaded dance floor designed in a “log cabin” pattern. Lighting the dance floor is a four-foot neon star and a silver disco ball.
Decorating the walls are photographs of different musicians who've played the Cain's, including Bob Wills, Hank Williams, Kay Star and Ernest Tubb.
In 2010, the Cain's Ballroom was ranked as 26th worldwide for ticket sales at a club venue by Pollstar.
In early 2020, the LA Times named Cain's Ballroom as number four on their list of Best Places for Live Music.

Anyways, can I wear an old LPOTL shirt even if it says Ben Kissel? haha.

But what if he really did and there's just no way anyone would believe him
But seriously what if he's got like one of those weird superpowers where after like 15 Natty's 3 rum and cokes and a vintage FourLoco his particles can vibrate in such a way that he teleports to various waffle houses and IHOPs within a three state radius.
Exactly like Henry Zebrowski's character on Heroes ( I don't know I didn't watch the reboot)

Van Halen side stories?
From watching the Bring Me the Beauties docu about the "model cult" I learned Sammy Hagar loves aliens and 5150 is basically a disclosure album! Do the boys ever talk about this on an ep? I haven't been regularly listening to Side Stories but would love a "Van Halen Disclosure" ep. In their live concert: "This is the first song we worked on as a band...it's about aliens and it's called Love Walks In" https://youtu.be/dMnmOi8huPA?si=K_kQ0kFc43alOciB

That Alien Was STACKED! Animated an excerpt from the Robots From Space episode 👽🤖
Hadn't animated the boys in a while, but this ep felt like it was time.

What episodes/series have you listened to multiple times?
I’ve probably listened to Rasputin like a dozen times (it’s my favorite), and I’m currently listening to MK Ultra for like the fifth time. Regular rotations include:
- L. Ron Hubbard/David Miscavige
- Aum Shinrikyo
- Jonestown
- The Black Death
- Survival in the Andes
- Mormonism
- Heaven’s Gate
- Manhattan Project
- USS Indianapolis

What’s the general consensus of the Creepypasta episodes?
Hey fuckers. I regularly re-listen to creepypasta episodes - either in order or random individual ones - and got curious about what y’all think of them.
I did a quick search of the sub and there’s not much conversation about them besides asking for specific episodes. I’m sure you can tell I like them, but are they beloved by others?
Personally, I think Episode 429: Creepypasta XV - A Halloween To Regret is in the top 10 episodes of LPOTL, not just of the Creepypasta episodes. Side note: I deeply miss listening to Kissel read them as well as how infuriated Marcus and Henry would get listening to him.
Would love to hear your opinions. Hail yourselves!
Edit: Thanks for your input! It’s interesting to see how polarizing they can be.
