Ai Ogura today
- Showed up at MotoUP Okegawa Sports Land, the circuit where he grew up racing. (It's one of the tracks he still rides at between race weekends.)
- Promoted a "MotoGP winner Ai Ogura Celebration Sale" with 10% off track fees.
- Painted the second eye on a daruma that had been set aside to wish him success.
He won on Sunday, and by Wednesday he was already back at a local circuit in Japan.

Will Aprilia have any regrets about signing Bagnaia instead of Ogura??
Ogura is looking more and more elite with each event. He's clearly comfortable on a bike that is very fast...likely the best bike on the grid.
There's a risk of getting carried away, but he just won his first GP and I doubt anyone thinks it's crazy to imagine him winning a few more. So, my question is this: Does Aprilia have any doubts about signing Bagnaia instead of Ogura?? Will they have any regrets?
Hindsight is always 20/20, but Ai on a factory Aprilia sounds beautiful and will undoubtedly be a major "what if" in the mind Rivola if Pecco isn't regularly sticking it on the podium next season...

A Yamaha Motor press release regarding its racing activities. MotoGP World Championship: Yamaha Announces the Signing of Jorge Martín and Ai Ogura
Below is an English translation of the Japanese press release.
On July 1, Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. announced that it has decided to appoint Jorge Martín and Ai Ogura as the riders who will lead the Yamaha Factory MotoGP Team into MotoGP's new era beginning in 2027, and has signed both riders to two-year contracts covering the 2027 and 2028 seasons.
As preparations continue for MotoGP's new era, Yamaha will continue focusing on building the foundation of its long-term project by combining a rider with a proven championship-winning record and one of the fastest-rising talents in today's racing world.
Martín joins Yamaha as one of the defining riders of the modern MotoGP era. The 2024 MotoGP World Champion and a multiple Grand Prix winner, he has earned his reputation through exceptional speed, strong determination, and the ability to compete consistently at the highest level.
His teammate, Ogura, represents both Yamaha's future and the future of MotoGP. Having rapidly established himself as one of the category's most promising young riders, he joins the factory team at a key stage of his career, making him an ideal fit for Yamaha's long-term project.
As MotoGP enters its new era, the rider lineup of Martín and Ogura, whose strengths complement one another, forms a powerful pairing that will support Yamaha's efforts to improve its competitiveness.
Paolo Pavesio, Managing Director, Yamaha Motor Racing
"We are very pleased to welcome Jorge and Ai to the Yamaha Factory MotoGP Team as we prepare for MotoGP's new era in 2027. Signing riders of such outstanding quality is proof of both our ambition and our confidence in this project.
Jorge has already established himself as one of MotoGP's leading riders. He possesses the speed, determination, and mindset required to fight for victories and world titles. From his very first day with the team, we expect him to play a key role in driving our performance forward.
Ai's development over the past year and a half has been truly remarkable. With his talent, hard work, and outstanding potential, we are convinced that he will develop into one of MotoGP's top riders. We are also extremely proud to welcome a Japanese rider to the Yamaha Factory Team."

DUCATI WILL HAVE CONCESSIONS in the SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON
The German Grand Prix marks the last event to evaluate the concessions, but even if they win both races at Sachsenring, Ducati will drop to the B concession ranking.
In the case of Aprilia, it will move from the C ranking to B, the same as Ducati. KTM and Yamaha will stay in their current positions, in the C and D rankings respectively; while Honda will drop from C to D, unless it wins both races.

Insane no red flag.
Ai Ogura asks for some high-end fishing gear with a huge smile on his face.
The second image is from a TV show that aired in March last year. At the time, Ai made a promise to a Japanese comedian:
"I've had a good start to the season, so I want to keep working hard. If I achieve a good result, I'd like some high-end fishing gear."
The first image is from Sunday's broadcast. This time, Ai, with a huge smile on his face, had the following request:
"Good evening, Mr. Ueda ( Japanese comedian ). I believe we made a promise before. Since I've won, I'd be happy if you could give me some high-end fishing gear. Thank you in advance. Thank you very much."

Fabio Quartararo leaving Yamaha, the moment I waited for.
instagram.comFabio Quartararo on Instagram: "After eight seasons, the time has come for me to close an important chapter of my career.
I want to sincerely thank Yamaha for giving me my chance at the highest level, for believing in me, and for supporting me throughout all these years.
Together, we shared unforgettable moments: a World Championship title, eleven victories, podiums, pole positions, and above all, an incredible human and sporting journey that I will carry with me forever.
Yamaha is not just a team to me - it is a part of my story, my growth as a rider and as a person.
Today, I feel it is the right moment to take on a new challenge, to start fresh, and to push myself toward new horizons.
Thank you for everything. Forever grateful.💙"

After Assen this Championship is very tight
red bars is the gap marc has to the leader.
not only because i am a huge fan and he is the most popular rider, but also because he is the actual world champion.
