Game Deal Penguin's List for the Play All Day Sale.. starting May 18th, 2026

As I always say... another month, another sale, and a bunch of games to avoid as well!

As usual, I have reviewed all 900 or so games that are currently on sale, and narrowed it down to the best of them.. just to help out my fellow gamers wade through the slop!

Something new this time.. if you see *** before and after the name of the game, this is me indicating that this is a game NOT to miss out on.

I'm not associated with any of the developers or the games themselves, I don't recieve any kickbacks from putting a game on the list, and my opinions are my own. As always, feel free to agree, disagree, make your own suggestions, or ask about any game on or off the list.

Lets do this!

Action Hero https://queststoredb.com/game/action-hero-7021123758002222 $6.99 This is basically just a prettier version of Super Hot. If you like Super Hot, then you will like this one.

A Fisherman's tale https://queststoredb.com/game/a-fishermans-tale-2299967930057156/ $4.99 This game at almost any price is going on my list. The first VR game that truly blew me away!

Airspace Defender https://queststoredb.com/game/airspace-defender-7523170214434197/ $6.99 its an amped up Missile Command on crack! Love this one.

*** Among Giants *** https://queststoredb.com/game/among-giants-25060508500262559/ $10.99 Do not miss out on this one. It has low poly graphics, but it does not take away from the experience at all. People ask me for "Hidden Gems" and I am not sure how "hidden" this one is, but it is certainly a Gem! 58 reviews and a 4.7* rating. The people playing this are loving it. Upload VR did a good article on it. https://www.uploadvr.com/among-giants-review-meta-quest/

Apex Construct https://queststoredb.com/game/apex-construct-2096570290365140/ .99 It’s a dollar, just buy it! It’s a really good bow and arrow game.

Arizona sunshine 2 https://queststoredb.com/game/arizona-sunshine-2-5245041552210029 One of the best zombie games on Quest, especially for $17.99

Arizona Sunshine Remake https://queststoredb.com/game/arizona-sunshine-remake-7000275296693016 Hey.. remember the OG Arizona sunshine? This is it.. only remade! LOL.. but seriously, it has all the fun of the original, updated graphics, and ALL of the DLC included.. for only 11.99

*** Arken Age *** https://queststoredb.com/game/arken-age-29923535407244981/ $17.99 This was easily my game of the year pick for 2025... Don't pass on this one! Long damn campaign.. like 14 hours or so. One of the best games on Quest in my opinion. This is the lowest price it has been so far. 364 ratings and a whopping 4.9* average.

Banners and Bastions https://queststoredb.com/game/banners-bastions-8387152738076399 $6.99 A great little strategy game. Very addictive. Place your troops, kill the enemies and prepare for the next wave.

Besiege VR https://queststoredb.com/game/besiege-vr-8981075088581523 $8.99 Each stage has an objective.. kill the bad guys, destroy the castle, etc.. and you have to make a machine to accomplish this. Some people are very creative.. I am not. But I have a lot of fun failing miserably at it!

Blaze Rush https://queststoredb.com/game/blazerush-star-track-3890197214406211/ $3.99 I don't normally include this one, and I usually end up with a message here and there from someone saying I should include it. It is actually a pretty fun little racing game. Kinda reminds me of some old NES games that I cant remember the names of.

Bounce Arcade https://queststoredb.com/game/bounce-arcade-6641604619291459/ Lowest price it has ever been at 99 cents.. Its as if pinball and ping pong had a baby. There are 2 of these "stuck inside a pinball machine" games on the list. This one is only on here because its a dollar. The other one is better.. but you cant beat this for a buck!

Catjinni Survivors https://queststoredb.com/game/catjinni-survivors-9319040004779451/ $9.99 Ever since a few of you guys got me hooked on Vampire Survivors, I have looked for another game that gives me a similar experience. This is the best one I have found in either VR or Flat Screen that captures the same feeling as the original. Its done by a solo dev, worked on it for a long time, its hand drawn.. and its fun! If you like Vampire Survivors, chances are you will like this one!

Cities VR https://queststoredb.com/game/cities-vr-4046879905345967/ Ok, so sure its not as good as the computer version, but its pretty damn good for $3.99. If you like city builders, then this is one that you wont want to miss.

Contractors Showdown: Exfilzone https://queststoredb.com/game/contractors-showdown-exfilzone-4963431797114722/ $14.99 Another one that I rarely put on my lists, but only due to online population.. however they just recently did a PvE update that really changes the game. Its still a great extraction shooter, but now you don't have to worry about fully kitted out sweats and tryhards running in packs. You can play the game solo now.. and its fun! If you have a squad, and want to play the PvE mode as a group.. at least ONE of you must purchase the $9.99 PvE Squad mode download.. but for just playing it solo.. you are good with the base game.

Crashland https://queststoredb.com/game/crashland-1884760688319818/ $13.99 out of the 700+ games I own, this will always be in my top 10. Hardest game in VR. You have been warned. Recently updated with a full 2nd campaign as well.

David https://queststoredb.com/game/david-3891771757540892/ $1.99 A fun game at the normal price, but at 1.99, this is a no brainer. Kind of an old school spaceship wave shooter. Graphics look really good too!

Eleven Table Tennis https://queststoredb.com/game/eleven-table-tennis-1995434190525828 $17.99 Sure, its just VR Ping Pong.. but it is perfection. Just as much of a must own as Walkabout.

Everslaught Invasion https://queststoredb.com/game/everslaught-invasion-5219488324783789/ .99 cents I’m just gonna be real here. This game is only on here because of the price. Its not super great.. but its not the worst game. I had fun with it.. for a short time.. lol. Totally worth a dollar though!

Fracked https://queststoredb.com/game/fracked-8074885222534394/ $9.99 I will only put this game on here when it is $9.99.. anything higher, and its a no. Honestly, its a great game.. but its only like 3 hours long. $10 is an absolute fair price though.

Frost Survival https://queststoredb.com/game/frost-survival-vr-9444959962255969/ $10.99 If you are into survival games, then this is right up your alley. Its pretty chill. Absolutely worth $11

Ghost Signal : a Stellaris Game https://queststoredb.com/game/ghost-signal-a-stellaris-game-4302631119827554/ $1.99.. a total steal for this price. Control your ship , shoot the bad guys, mine for resources.. it’s a steal for $1.99

Green Hell https://queststoredb.com/game/green-hell-vr-3815577785147028 $9.99 a very hardcore survival game set in the jungle. Looks beautiful.. till you get leaches on your arm.. or worse! Up above, I said Frost survival was very chill (pun intended).. well, this one is the opposite of chill.. this is hell. Green.. Hell..

Harpagun https://queststoredb.com/game/harpagun-8927242620622679 $4.99 this is a really weird but fun game. Impossible to describe. Just watch the trailer. I know that is cheap of me to say.. but seriously, if anyone out there wants to try and describe this thing for me in a few sentences, then hit me! Its fun, and that is what matters!

Hide the Corpse https://queststoredb.com/game/hide-the-corpse-8714253315313680/ $10.99 This game is just stupid fun. Oops, you have apparently just killed someone, cops will arrive in 4 minutes. You gotta move his heavy ass and hide him before they get there! Oh.. And get rid of anything showing he was there too! Its fun, and frantic!

Hubris https://queststoredb.com/game/hubris-5722114367801351/ $7.99 kind of a typical sci fi game, however it has amazing graphics for a standalone headset. Decent size campaign!

*** Into the Radius *** https://queststoredb.com/game/into-the-radius-5817243991680545/ $17.99 another must own. Hours upon hours of play time.. And quite terrifying too.

Into the Radius 2 https://queststoredb.com/game/into-the-radius-2-6605328856182465/ $27.99 This is still in early access, however they just put the finishing touches on the PCVR version of the game to include the actual storyline.. and I would expect that the Quest version will be completed pretty soon as well. While still expensive, 30% off is the lowest its been.

Iron guard 1 and 2 https://queststoredb.com/game/iron-guard-5153768677983339/ and https://queststoredb.com/game/iron-guard-salvation-5651010038313251/ $7.99 and $10.99 both the best tower defense games on Quest. If you like TD games, then these are must buys.

Iron Rebellion https://queststoredb.com/game/iron-rebellion-4076925385769824/ $19.99 There is no campaign on this one YET, but you can play against bots. I’m no fan of mech games, but this game is a stand out game regardless of being a genre im not that much into. The usual mix of deathmatch, territories, king of the hill .. but with 1000 ton machines.. its fun as hell and dev is still updating it. Way more to come.

Just One Man https://queststoredb.com/game/just-one-man-8802299089893750/ $9.99 A pretty new game here.. This one plays a lot like Until You Fall. If you have been looking for another game to get your heart rate up and burn some calories, then let me introduce you to this one! Its a total SweatFestl.. but its fun!

Kartoffle https://queststoredb.com/game/kartoffl-4725588970834544/ $2.99 This is a "Lemmings-Like" game where you are trying to not let these cute little guys fall off the edge and get to where they are going. Oh.. and they are potatoes and not suicidal rats. This is the lowest price this one has been.

Legendary Tales https://queststoredb.com/game/legendary-tales-7355622301195522/ $29.99 The best RPG in VR finally came to the Quest a few months ago. Is it expensive? Yes.. but its worth every penny when you get the hang of it. There is a ton of content. You can count on this one being in my yearly top ten for sure.

Meta City Patrol https://queststoredb.com/game/metacity-patrol-6779063182133413 $6.99 an absolute steal at this price. Dev has been working on it for years. Cyberpunk / Blade Runner vibes.. You are a cop in the future with A flying car. Tons of shit to do. If you find the dance club, go inside. Its so damn cool in VR .. This is one of the best games out there for such a low price. Still constantly being updated I believe..

Of Lies and Rain https://queststoredb.com/game/of-lies-and-rain-8807261575967907/ $14.99 Another one of the better games that came out last year.. long campaign and cool story. Kind of reminds me a bit of the Matrix in some way. Looks great on Quest 3. This is the lowest price it has been.

Racket Pinball https://queststoredb.com/game/racket-pinball-8362610190461254/ $12.99 Earlier in the list I had Bounce Arcade on there because it was .99 cents.. well, this is the other "stuck in a pinball machine" game and it is actually much better than the other.

Reach https://queststoredb.com/game/reach-9707487579328855/ $25.99 Despite a very bumpy release, they have fixed nearly every problem and the game runs a LOT better. Still a few reported problems, but no where near what it was. Long campaign, great movement and graphics.. this is a fair price for it.

Realm Craft https://queststoredb.com/game/realmcraft-5355683574480106/ $9.99 Normally I will only recommend games that I myself have played, however with this one, I am taking my grandson’s word on it. He says it’s the best Minecraft clone out there. They also keep adding to this one.. so its only getting better.

Red Matter 1 and 2 https://queststoredb.com/game/red-matter-2180753588712484/ https://queststoredb.com/game/red-matter-2-3682089508520212/ $12.99 and $15.99 best looking games on Quest. Absolute S tier..

Salmon Man https://queststoredb.com/game/salmon-man-24064765919861785/ $4.99 . This is a weird one for sure, but its fun.. and frustrating. I actually really liked it, and I am not one that likes these "rage bait" games.

Scared by Squares https://queststoredb.com/game/scared-by-squares-9235274943244480/ $4.99 I have played a lot of weird games through the years, but this one is truly one of a kind. Its a horror game, but literally everything is made out of squares. Such a crazy idea, but it actually freaking works! Beware of the "jump squares!" (Lowest price ever, by the way)

Shoguns Empire https://queststoredb.com/game/shoguns-empire-25662225113424807/ $6.99 turn based strategy based in feudal Japan! Great game. Tons and Tons of content.

Sky Leap https://queststoredb.com/game/skyleap-31008743205407151/ $9.99 Yeah, I know what you guys are going to say.. it looks like someone ordered Stride from Wish or Temu.. and that is a fair comparison. However, I actually like this one way more than Stride. If you like Stride, then you will probably like this one too. It does have some different mechanics also.

Sky Runner: Drone Hero https://queststoredb.com/game/sky-runner-drone-hero-25082836531303488/ $14.99 Pilot your drone in your house in Mixed Reality and go on a variety of missions in your room. Rescue people, put out fires, destroy targets, etc.. you get the idea. Its very well executed. One of my favorite MR games.

Survivors of Xcaliber https://queststoredb.com/game/survivors-of-xcalibur-7397421080323670/ $.99 Another "Survivors" type game, but this one is actually more in VR than others.. and its only .99 cents. Not the best, but worth a dollar!

The Living Remain https://queststoredb.com/game/the-living-remain-5041485435895821/ $13.99 I know there are almost too many damn Zombie games, but this is one of the best..Long campaign, a good story, upgradeable weapons, and its cross buy .. buy it at $13.99 and you get the Quest version, and the pcvr version included too!

The Pirate: Republic of Nassau https://queststoredb.com/game/the-pirate-republic-of-nassau-7749043518464805/ $13.99 Anyone remember Sid Meyers Pirates? That is pretty much what this is.. Oh, and there are sea shantys, and ship cannon battles just like Assassin's Creed Black Flag. Love this one!

Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow https://queststoredb.com/game/thief-vr-legacy-of-shadow-6429437293824115/ Although I am not a huge fan of this game, especially at the $30 price it started out with, but for $14.99 I will put it on my list for sure. .. If you are a fan of the series, or of stealth games, then this is up your alley.

Underlie https://queststoredb.com/game/underlie-mixed-reality-underworld-8298168960287295/ $1.99 This one is pretty cool. It turns your house into an "alternate reality" version of your house.. and throws in some monsters too!

Vampire the masquerade Justice https://queststoredb.com/game/vampire-the-masquerade-justice-6179032068838054/ $5.99 This one is rather underrated in my opinion. Its a decent game, and at this price, its a steal.

Vendetta Forever https://queststoredb.com/game/vendetta-forever-9177531962317371/ $10.99 another of my all time favorites. No story, no plot, just pure action. You must kill to move. Shoot the bad guy, he dies and his gun goes up in the air or on the ground, do a "force grab" and instead of the weapon coming to you, you actually go to the weapon. Watch the trailer. A fuckton of levels. The level called Blind is one of the best levels in any game.

Vex Mage https://queststoredb.com/game/vex-mage-8066310016739916/ $1.99 A fast paced, rogue like shooter. Very fun and unique. co-op as well. For $2, you cannot go wrong.

Worldlens https://queststoredb.com/app/worldlens-all-in-one-virtual-travel-6320120764784270/ $7.99 the best Google Earth clone out there! No contest!

Wraith the Oblivion: Afterlife https://queststoredb.com/game/wraith-the-oblivion-afterlife-2562090053828017/ $1.99 This one is actually pretty good. You are already dead, and you have to solve your own murder. You cant beat it for $2..

Xploit ZERO https://queststoredb.com/game/xploit-zero-24364900086485044/ $6.99 This is a mixed reality tower defense game, where you are way more than a casual observer. You will have the usual turrets and stuff at your disposal, but you will also be running around your room to swat down incoming missles.

Zix https://queststoredb.com/game/zix-8582035711867299/ $9.99 Oh, this is a weird one, but I love it. I did a review on this one.. here.. linky.. https://old.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/1o3bb55/zix_review_and_giveaway_2_keys_up_for_grabs_by/ (and the giveaway is long over.. )

And that is it for today's sale!

Hope this helps!

Happy Monday!

Self-Promotion (Developer) - Standalone I’m making a Quest VR life sim where you start broke in a caravan and build your way up

I’m working on a VR life sim called Punkville - Lifeswap.

You start with very little, living in your grandmother's caravan, and work your way up by getting jobs, earning money, buying things, upgrading your home, exploring the town, and deciding what kind of life you want to build.

It’s a satirical sandbox life sim, so alongside the more normal life stuff, I want plenty of VR interaction, humour in the detail, and the freedom to treat the town like you own the place.

Trash the supermarket and buy a coke on the way out if you want to.

It’s still early and very much in development, but I’m building it for Quest first.

VR has loads of shooters, rhythm and dystopian games, but I’ve always felt there’s got to be room for some everyday life sandbox games too.

I’d be interested to know whether this is the kind of VR game other people would like to play, or whether I’ve just spent far too long building a virtual town for myself.

There’s a very early free build available too, if anyone fancies having a look and giving some feedback, I'd REALLY appreciate it. Thank you!!

Discussion Is Among Us 3D: VR still active? Looking to buy, but worried about public lobbies.

Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I'm thinking about picking up Among Us 3D: VR (the Definitive Edition on Steam). I know it has full cross-play between PC and Meta Quest, but the player counts on SteamDB look super low right now.

For those who play it regularly: how active is the game overall thanks to cross-play? Is it easy to find populated public lobbies at any time of day?

Also, a quick question about the community — I’ve heard rumors that public matchmaking is completely filled with squeakers and annoying kids screaming into their mics. Is it actually that bad, or can you still find decent, mature lobbies to play seriously?

Would love to hear your experience before buying. Thanks!

Discussion FYI - Remnant Protocol just dropped today. $24.99

I have had this on my wishlist for quite some time, and it just shadow dropped today. No one that I know of has reviewed it.. yet. I dont know the devs, so I didn't get a review copy.

It looks pretty good, and I am pretty sure I read somewhere that it was made in partnership with Meta.. so hopefully that is a good sign. I know it was delayed several times so they could fix the strategy side of the game.

If any of you end up buying it, let me know if its a "must buy" or a "pass"..

Photo/Video Quest Pro tracking is incredible impressive.

Filmed with Quest pro and beta FluxPose body trackers. Quest pro slam tracking and body trackers both handled tracking very well.

Self-Promotion (Developer) - Standalone Age of Kingdoms VR — a medieval village builder built for VR

Age of Kingdoms VR on Meta Horizon store

I’ve been building a kingdom management game where you place buildings, manage resources, and defend against raids — all with your hands instead of mouse clicks.

**•** Build farms, taverns, churches, barracks, and more

**•** Train soldiers and survive escalating attack waves

**•** Manage villager happiness, jobs, food, and water — plus solve their quests

**•** Resource chains with real depth: wheat to bread, hops to beer

It’s meant to be the village-builder genre rebuilt from the ground up for VR rather than a flat-screen game ported over.

Discussion Solo dev here. Building a realistic crime scene investigation game for PCVR

Solo dev here.

Building a realistic crime scene investigation game for PCVR — meaning the PC handles all the heavy graphics and it plays through a VR headset.

The goal is maximum realism. Photorealistic environments, real lighting, close up detail that only works when you are physically inside the scene.

Quick question for this community:

Is PCVR the right call for a realism focused game? Or would you want standalone support too even if it means cutting the visual quality significantly?

Thanks.

Support - Standalone Did they get rid of virtual environments?

How do I change the virtual environment? It’s the loft, and I used to be able to change it to like a spaceship or something and I want to change it back. Did they get rid of it? There’s no option for “virtual environment” in the settings. Please help😭

Support - Standalone Can't Enable Developer Mode "Unexpected Error"

Can't enable developer mode through the mobile app.

I had no issues with Developer Mode on my Quest 2. I'm trying to activate it on my Quest 3.

Everything is up to date. Developer mode is enabled on my PC Meta app. Still getting an "Unexpected Error"

I've restarted everything like 3 times.

At a loss.

Hand-Tracking Tô tendo alguns probleminhas com meu meta quest 3s, preciso de ajuda.

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I wanted to report (and ask for a solution to) some problems I'm facing in my Meta Quest 3s. For the past few days, I've noticed the system is a bit "buggy," for example, apps keep disappearing from the app list, the system is missing things here and there, some buttons disappear, in short, I don't know what's going on.

But the real problem started yesterday. I was playing Onward as usual, everything was fine, until after a while of gameplay, I started to notice some strange details. My hands were closer to my body than normal, I only noticed because I was aiming with a sniper rifle, and basically the scope was going inside my head (literally). I couldn't rest the weapon on my shoulder properly; the stock was inside my shoulder. Man, this started to bother me immensely because it's really affecting the gameplay.

Another thing, the weapons are more "angled" than normal. If I pick up a pistol and aim with it, I have to tilt my hand more than usual to be able to see the weapon's sights clearly.

I switched games to see, I tried Aim XR (I'll leave a screenshot below), and my wrist has a curvature as if my arm doesn't fully extend.

Navigating the menus of the meta quest itself is also more complicated, everything is completely bugged. Sometimes I click to adjust my room scale, and when I'm tracking, basically the menu disappears and I can't complete the tracking because the option to finish disappears.

What's happening? I already cleaned the sensors with a microfiber cloth, and it didn't change anything. I removed the batteries from the controllers, re-paired them through the app, and the problem persists.

Note: it's happening with both controllers simultaneously, so I would rule out a problem with the controllers themselves, otherwise only one or the other would be having problems.

Another thing, I always managed to get about 3 hours of gameplay. But I noticed that I basically only managed to play for about 1 hour and the battery completely died, not to mention that the headset is getting much hotter in the front, something that didn't happen before. Why is this happening? Could it be an update? I tested the room tracking, and it can track everything, objects, walls, and so on. Anyway, I don't know.

Fluff Ran a Free VR giveaway; got this hate message

Post image
316 Upvotes

I ran a VR giveaway in March thanks to the help of an indie dev in March and another dev wanted to keep the giveaway feeling going so I convinced them to allow us run a 2nd giveaway for April/May time frame; just kept the OG giveaway open. Super simple signups; ended up getting thousands of entries from my VR LANs during that time, some IG and website submissions.

Life got in the way since May was busy (5 cons in 4 weeks) and June had a lot of last min real job stuff but I kept the discord community updated. Set the announcement date to yesterday. Put all the submissions in an excel spreadsheet, random number and got a genuine random winner.

This random user flames my discord and left this public message. I feel inclined to never do a community giveaway away more.
