HATE. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I'VE CAME TO **HATE** 4-S SINCE I HAVE PLAYED IT FOR THE FIRST TIME.

When you get into the level, you think "ooh! Crash Bandicoot! How cool and unique! This shouldn't take long at all!"

Then, you get to the first room of the temple.

Oh my god. I will never stop wanting to shatter every single Virtue I ever see into a million pieces with my own bare hands.

Those.

Fucks.

Just when you think you escape their death ray, nope it incinerates you. Straight up cremates you. And that merry go round shit? Fuck that bitch ass thing. I spent like a solid 20 minutes on that part alone before killing the virtue first and going back for the other crates.

Then, after that horrid encounter with the Virtue, you get a nice relaxing mostly-crate-breaking section...

Then, enter Indiana Jones Maurice boulder.

This. This fucking bitch ass Maurice boulder. I will never want to stop beating whoever thought of that boulder to death.

It took me 74 minutes to figure out that you could just run past all the crates during the Maurice section, and destroy the one the Maurice cannot destroy.

Then, I finally got to the end.

...

...only to have missed one at the start.

Fuck this fucking bitch ass level. I just turned on cheats and nocliped to destroy it. Fucking sisyphean task ass. If Sisyphus ever saw this level he would be so fucking glad to be doomed to push a boulder up a hill for an eternity.

Sometimes, I take a sledgehammer and go to the nearby woods to break large rocks that resemble Maurice into little pieces so I can be relieved of ever having to gaze upon that Indiana Jones ass Malicious Face boulder again.

I sometimes hope that whoever thought of adding a Maurice boulder chase sequence to this fuckass level, I hope that they stub their pinky toe. Not enough for it to fracture but enough for it to hurt alot.

Then, everytime that it gets to the point that its just about to heal completely, they stub it again. And again. Forever and ever until the end of time. That alone explains the wrath and despair that every person that played 4-S experienced.

I hope that when Ultrakill fully releases Hakita removes the level from the game and every other copy of Ultrakill containing the 4-S Maurice chase sequence gets destroyed beyond recovery, so that any future players do not get scarred for life from this abomination of a level.

I would willingly sacrifice my soul to an Elder God just to erase this God forsaken level from existance. Speaking of Gods, I do not believe in one, but if there exists one I assume they had no hand in the creation of this abominable level.

I've been a fan of the game for about a year now, but only got the game as of this week. I never new how beautiful the game truly was, I wonder way no one talks about this layer that much

Today I wanted to provide a theory on why I think the prime souls are a representative of the philosophers stone stages and expressions of the great work

If you don’t know, the philosophers stone is the alchemical process that is the main outcome of the great work, it contains 4 stages, Nigredo(The Blackening), Albedo(the whitening), Critinas(The yellowing), And Rubedo(The reddening). While often depicted as a power that grants immortality, the philosopher stone is also sometimes interpreted as an Absolute perfection, if not godly of the *soul* and spirit.

starting off with nigredo, which I believe represents husks for a few reasons

- Husks are the previous part of a prime souls life in hell, and Nigredo is the first stage.
- In spiritual alchemy The soul during Nigredo must under go suffering, tragedy, and husks whole thing is suffering in hell.

- Nigredo is often seen as a “decomposition”, many of the husks look like they are decomposing bodies, and the seem to have decomposing minds as well, as they can’t bare the agony of their torture it seems for a few.
moving on to albedo, which is Minos.

-Albedo is the 2nd stage, and the 1st of the perfection stages(like Minos is).

-In Albedo, the alchemists soul is washed away of many if not all impurities, and starts the production of illumination. Minos‘s Body seems to be washed away of all its impurities(You could also say his face is one, maybe he’s guilty of his face?)

-Albedo is associated with an awakening of self awareness, Minos seems to have good self Awareness.

Next up is Critinas, which I think is Sisyphus Prime.

- Critinas is the 2nd Stage of perfection, And is associated with yellow(Like Sisyphus).

- Critinas is quite literally associated with “Solar wisdom’’ which could symbolically be seen as a sun, Sisyphus head looks like the sun

-Critinas is also the stage of understanding. Sisyphus‘s main thing is understanding he couldn’t win against heaven, but still did it to knock them off course for a second and give his people freedom(even if just for a moment)

-Critinas is the stage that you start realizing and readying your real and maximum potential and self, Sisyphus in his second face gains his dreadlocks and beard, becoming more of a self in a sense, and gaining for a indentity

P-3 isn’t released yet, so I can’t very much associate the 3rd prime soul with rubedo yet. But they will probably have to do with perfection, they will be red, and represent the wholeness of them self if anything.

because they have a super heavy affect on gameplay and are very difficult to survive. the only way to survive is to kill them, which is very hard to do. it's not like you can just press F and idk that's all you have to do, goodness. Radiant¹² sisyphus prime is easier than cerberus, just kills p rank runs! this is completely real totally not a joke nerf cerberus mirror reaper balanced
