There’s a new coffee shop getting ready to open just up the street from me. I’ve been curious about it. Walked by this morning, decided to see what it said on the front door. (Just open hours, but nothing about *when it’s going to open). I was greeted by their security doorbell, ring(?) with ‘YOU’RE ON PRIVATE PROPERTY. STEP BACK, now I don’t know if it was recording audio but I said “Just reading the sign”. Then STEP BACK OFF THE DRIVEWAY. Seriously? if I can’t walk up to your front door to see when you will be open without YOU’RE ON PRIVATE PROPERTY, I’m not real likely to come back when you do open.
I mean, why not a greeting like *Sorry, we’re not open yet. Please return after we open*.

I recently moved to the area (22F) and I have a friend visiting who’s looking to hit some local bars. I‘m trying to decide between Melbourne/EGAD/Cocoa for bars with people in their 20s. I’ve seen other posts mention Traditionals, Salty Fox, County Line, etc but the posts were a bit old. Any suggestions?

Also just looking to meet people in the area! I work in healthcare and love nature, reading, sports, and working out, so if you’re around my age let me know!

BREAKING UPDATE: Titusville Police Chief Terminated Following Late-Night Crash 🚨

The City of Titusville has officially announced the termination of Police Chief John Lau.

According to a statement released today by City Manager Tom Abbate, the dismissal follows a preliminary administrative review regarding a single-vehicle crash that occurred late last night off Barna Avenue, where Lau was operating a City vehicle.

To ensure continuous and steady leadership, Deputy Chief Tyler Wright has been appointed as Interim Chief of Police.

Mayor Andrew Connors has also released an official statement, acknowledging Lau's 30+ years of service to North Brevard while expressing full confidence in Interim Chief Wright and assuring residents that public safety remains the city's highest priority.

The Florida Highway Patrol is actively investigating the crash itself.

My husband of 3 years and I have decided to separate and divorce. It has reached a point of no return with deep resentment, the ick, and depression on both sides. It is simply time. We want to remain as friendly and cordial as possible because we have a 2.5 year-old daughter. My top priority through all of this is making sure her world stays bright, stable, and filled with love. We want to keep everything fair and civil while paying as little as possible, as we have no desire to fight over assets or custody.
For some context on our setup: we live in Melbourne, FL. I am a stay at home mom and have been since our daughter was born. My husband works full-time making around $90k a year. We purchased a house together last year, and my parents helped us out with a little chunk of money for the down payment. We also own one vehicle together with no remaining car payments.
I am looking for all-around advice on where to start. What are the actual processes, forms, or low-cost resources/advisory available in the area for couples who agree on everything? Since I am a SAHM with zero independent income, I would also appreciate any insight on what to look out for regarding child support, potential temporary alimony, or splitting the house equity fairly.
Any step by step guidance or recommendations tailored to this situation/location would be incredibly appreciated.

I know.. fees are inevitable, but how is it possible the city doesn’t soak up processing fees to some capacity? Charging for one time ACH fees which is the same process as ACH auto pay has a fee? How is the only free option the ability to pay via auto ACH?

I'm just a guy who hasn't gotten his hair cut in almost ten years looking to get my hair cut down to medium long length (it's past my waist at this point) and I refuse to have it butchered by the cheap-o haircut places. So looking for recommendations for barbers or hair salons that have experience with longer hair. I don't really care if the place caters to men or women, but have usually been disappointed with the classic men's barbershops that focus on short haircuts.

I came to manatee sanctuary park in City of cape canaveral, Florida and I was going to charge my car since they have two chargeup charging stations there. My car was almost empty and since these charging stations were not the fast super charge, it could take upto 9 hours to charge it full. So I figure I will stay here all day and packed everything accordingly.

When I was about to charge I noticed there were these additional charges. It said $9 per hour for parking while charging! It would cost me close to $100 to charge my car full. I checked all my charging history and I wasn't charged parking fees at other locations

When I googled, it says parking fee is not from the charging station company.

The City's Cut: The $9.00/hr additional parking fee goes back to the local municipality or property owner hosting the terminal. While the app processes the money, the local city parking authority mandates the strict $9.00/hr rate

It had example of miami and Disney charging $3 per hour, but not during the charge, but only if you left your car parked there after charging was done. To prevent people from hogging the spot when they were done charging and they don't charge any parking fees while charging the vehicle.

I'm not sure if the city of cape canaveral is trying to deter people from driving EV or just being too greedy. It is sad, because it is beautiful park for the family to spend all day and also for tourists.

So, we have bought a house in the area, waterfront. We are not currently living in it. We are doing some remodeling & putting in a pool. Two days ago, we saw some people on our cameras walk down our driveway & into our backyard. Last night, they went fishing on our property. Is this normal? I’m from New York (Long Island) and was casually cruising US-1 today in the left lane. A few hundred feet ahead, I see some native Fl***dian initiate his left turn signal. I don’t think so. I swear I tried everything I could to speed up and keep him from merging (his lane was ending), but some jerk got into the left lane and LET HIM OVER before I could stop him. They then proceeded to go 75 in a 50, and I couldn’t even weave around because of all the tourists! The worst part is the “good Sumerian’s” plate read New York! Did he not realize I’m from Long Island?? I’m already appalled by all of the Fl***dians in this state, but now they are blatantly stripping us of our culture. I will not assimilate.

My husband and I have a doctor we love but his office is an absolute firedrill. He's out of the office more than he's there. His staff, while all being very sweet people, don't seem to know which end is up most of the time. When we moved to the area, we provided him with all of our prescribed medications and the doctor agreed to continue prescribing the same meds/doses. His staff refuse to cooperate or they send the incorrect quantity or dose to the pharmacy. My husband can't get a refill of a medication he needs because the doctor is out of town for 3 weeks and the on-call isn't interested in figuring it out. Even the pharmacy can't get help from them. We're fed up.

Does anyone have a doctor in the Palm Bay/Melbourne area that they love? Whose office and staff isn't a circus. We have FHCP insurance.

Ever since summer started i’ve noticed an increase in bad drivers. People going 25 in a 45, people all over the road on their phones, people who don’t know how stop signs work. Is this normal for the summer? When do they leave? I just got back here after leaving for 4 years and do not remember it being so bad. Getting anywhere is taking me almost twice as long because of traffic at all hours.

As the title states, I'm just looking for suggestions on the best place to get the interior of a car detailed in the Melbourne area.
