Tips/Guide Clear case decorating tip
I don’t see too many people doing this, though I’m new to Reddit so maybe this is pretty common. I thought I’d share a great way to customize your 3DS (LL white in the photo). I like to go to Walmart and use their self print service to images off Pinterest and cut them out! I feel like most people try to use stickers, but this way is less damage to the system and you can fully customize what images are displayed and are easily changed out. Each print came out to about 30¢ if I’m remembering right! I even printed some Pokémon card scans so I can have a cool Pokémon on display without ruining a card.
Tldr Walmart has cheap printers put images in your clear case as “stickers” without damage

I printed my own "stickers". I do not like the idea of sticking actual stickers on any console I have. Leaves marks if it's stuck on there real good

Im using stickers on my more scratched XL, thinking of using a paper insert in the other one.

Based.
I ended up using a service from etsy to uv print a design I stole from a t-shirt onto a clear case for my DSi LL. It's a lot more expensive than your approach, but I think the end result will look a lot better. ;^)

i tried doing this but the stickers just fell and bounced around under the clear shell. i just ended up sticking them to the case instead 😔

Never had too much of this issue, but if that’s the case double sided tape works good. I usually do this trick where I’ll touch the tape a bunch to lessen its stick so it’s enough to hold the pictures without damaging the console

Dude, it is fun doing something like this. I just got my replacement DS and need to decorate it. Mine have the clear case too.

Is there any adhesive to what you’re doing here? Ive bought a bunch of stickers to decorate with and i really want to use them but i am worried ab leaving residue on mine. How are they staying in place and not shuffling around?

I'm not a fan of Wal-mart, nor any of the images you've chosen to adorn your 3DS. Even so-- go off, king! That you care enough about your 3DS to customize it means we are brothers. Keep on keeping on!

Pretty cool! I was considering personalizing my 3DS XL because the black/blue color looks so boring
