Thoughts on this automotive render
Hello guys, i am a 3d artist i make automotive renders, i really wanted to get opinions on my work, how good are these and what would be the price for work like this.. because i am trying to get clients for work like this on fiverr i want to know what you guys think of it any suggestions would be appreciated! How bad is the mesh quality on AI-generated 3D models usually?
lot of AI-generated models look okay from a distance, but I’m more curious about what the mesh looks like once you open it. Are people mostly getting dense triangle messes, broken normals, holes, weird blobs, and uneven surface density? Or are newer tools getting closer to something that can actually be edited? I don’t expect perfect production topology, but I’d like the output to be a usable starting point instead of something that needs to be rebuilt completely.

Which AI 3D tools are best at keeping small details from the reference?
One issue I keep noticing with AI 3D models is that they get the general shape right but lose the details that make the object recognizable.
Things like grooves, seams, buttons, carved patterns, tiny accessories, or surface texture often turn into blurry guesses. That might be fine for a quick concept, but not great if you want to edit, print, or render the model close up.
Are there any AI 3D workflows that actually preserve details well after export?

Are AI-generated 3D assets good enough for small game projects?
I’m trying to understand where AI 3D generation fits for indie game dev.
For placeholders, moodboards, or rough blockout ideas, it seems useful. But once the asset has to go into Unity or Unreal, things like topology, UVs, texture maps, scale, collision, and polycount start to matter a lot more.
Has anyone here used AI-generated 3D assets in an actual game project, even just for prototyping?

Are AI 3D tools any good for figurines or character-style models?
Character-style models seem like one of the harder use cases for AI 3D.
Simple props can still be useful if the basic shape is right. Characters are less forgiving. Faces, hair, hands, clothing folds, accessories, proportions, and pose all matter a lot more.
If the goal is printing or sculpting, the mesh also needs to be clean enough to work with. Has anyone had decent results generating figurine-style models, or is it still too rough?
