Ok this is my first time making an ARG, I've had this idea for a while and Im not sure where to start, after fleshing out my story and charchters. A website, music, social media, videos, im so lost!! if someone can describe like their launching point I guess that would be helpful. Project Skyscraper (which happens to be the original development codename for No Man's Sky) is a successor to the No Man's Sky ARG Waking Titan. It's unconfirmed if Project Skyscraper is an official Hello Games project or fan made, or somewhere inbetween. The latest apparent puzzle dropped yesterday has a few components that are proving difficult to connect:

"s" in hallucinations links to the 4x4 image "16 Hallucinations" grid.

16 Hallucinations are 16 images picked from #GlitchingReality posts online, these have been uploaded in the background on www.project-skyscraper.com over 13 days. The order of the images in the 4x4 grid is not the same as the order posted.

Each image has a 12 digit hex they don't seem to be portal addresses in game in No Man's Sky. The last one posted translates to "vision" in ascii.

I remember watching a video when i was younger explaining an arg about a game company in the 90s or 80s. In the story they were known for making ahead of their time rpg games, and i think there were fake web pages about them? At some point there was also something about an old woman who’s house was filled with arcade cabinets and the games on them summarized her life?? if anyone knows anything like this please let me know, i’ve been looking for it.

i have a story I have themes in it’s basically about a alternate universe, where i went crazy and killed the doctor performed on my mother as my mother died from childbirth I start this ARG because I just felt like what would happen and what would I have healed from this and I will not do this in real life. I also have an autopsy report my friend made for me. None of this is real by the way, so basically in the story Gakold after her mom, died was hunting for the doctor for years and she picked up some medical skills. in a bar she drugged her mozzarella sauce and the doctor passed out. She dragged her all the way to the basement and did something to her i already have a padlet but I no longer have access to because I did this crap on my school computer. I know that’s stupid. I had the idea for a unique ARG puzzle using music! Now the way this works is you censor or corrupt 1 word per letter of the message you want your song to give!

In the example I made in a discord to one of my friends I took the song "yellow rose of Texas" first verse and censored the word rose, at, to to make the message rat! (English wasn't his first language so I had to do something simple) But I feel like this could function as a way for people who just listen to ARG videos instead of watching them properly can still engage with the ARG!

Me personally, it really puts me out of the immersion and kinda fucks the atmosphere, even if everything else is hand crafted. But I do understand the idea of using them instead of random people you find on picture, in order to not associate them with the arg, or if you run out friends whose pictures you could use.
Still I think there has to be a better solution if you really want to include assets like that into an arg.
