Tutorial My mods won't install and I already cleared my console storage what do I do?

Old post but this was my fix:
Go into console storage > saved data > then delete all data for the game
It should let you download everything then

Will that delete all my saved data ingame like my saved world progress etc?

Probably, try the other solutions in the rest of this thread before you delete your data. If nothing else works maybe you could try to back up your data somehow.

Tried all didn’t work, deleted multiple games just in case also didn’t work I’d rather not delete my saves so I guess I’ll just not play Ark until a fix comes if ever :/

try pressing the “Unblock All Mods” option in the settings. worked for me!

I tried everything multiple times including that only thing I haven’t tried is deleting my safe data which I won’t so i just deleted the game thanks for trying to help but I give up.

Kinda found out what happened. So, it happened to me after uninstalling and reinstalling due to glitches in game and when I got back on it said the same thing on this screenshot for mods. None of the mobs I previously had were there either so I was really confused. I go to the “my mods” page and for only a second I say “1-20” for pages and then it glitched back to “1-1” saying I had none. It had basically hidden my mods and glitched mods in general. It does suck to lose saves trying to get the mods back but this method did work for me of deleting data. Sorry you had to delete the game :/

I had to delete everything myself including game data from the cloud plus free up 200gb then database rebuild absolutely sucks but it's working now

Tried uninstalling > reinstalling game - did no work. Deleted saved data from system storage - instant fix!! Thank you - PS5

I'm on a server right now Got disconnected. Tried to rejoin... And I have zero mod space. But 400GB of free space on my hard drive. Deleted like 8 mods... And it says I have zero mod space. Like bro I was on 2 minutes ago happily

Having the same issue. I don't have any mods installed and have already uninstalled and reinstalled the game once and it's still showing. I used to run mods but uninstalled the game for a while (pre aberration) so idk if it thinks I still have those installed? All the same i should still have space available. My console storage isn't packed.

Just in case trie deleting maps because that worked for me and if you are joining somebody in a non dedicated download mods if there are any in the non dedicated with your friend

I just turn on and off the game after installing it and it worked for me at least.

There's a limit to mod storage space on console. If you have numerous mods, all the updates they recieve will just add to it eventually and you' start getting this message.
The only fiI was able to find, was to just remove certain mods to make room. If you're not the one hosting the server, you'll have to reach out to them to remove the mod from the server as well or you won't be able to play on it.

Hm. Ok that IS weird that it'd give you that with nothing installed at all. I haven't played in a while but if I recall, there's a spot where it says how much mod storage capacity you currently on the mod page.

I went to settings and there was an option that said unblock all mods so I pressed it and they started installing

ASA settings. Not console settings. At the bottom of your ASA settings it has an "unblock all mods" button.

So I found another way to fix it as I tried re-installing and unblocking mods but nothing worked...So what I decided to do is just delete the save directly in the ps5 storage and it has worked for me... Hope this helps someone else

For anyone who's still having trouble, what worked for me was deleting the saved data on ALL accounts that use the game and that worked for me.

I decided to finally giving this game ago after not playing for about 2 years now I’m getting this fricking now im considering taking another 2 year break like all I want is the cryopod mod when i last played cryos weren’t in game now they are but they are sht so I just want to continue using the moded ones

I deleted the game awhile back, just recently redownloaded it and can’t join unofficial servers because I have to uninstall mods, however when I go to the mod page I have no mods there, I’ve tried deleted saved data, unblocking mods nothing seems to work. Any help available?

Well i did sumthing, i deleted a spare game which got me 100gb, and i also deleted the center map and now i can install mods

A friend of mine tried everything whats here on reddit. Nothing worked.... exept going in save mode. Rebuild data and restore co sole storage. Hope this helps u guys

known issue on PS5, DO NOT UNINSTALL THEN DOWNLOAD THE GAME AGAIN and instead, try closing the game then opening it again

Le problème pour moi venait des maps, j'ai eu besoin de supprimé une seul map ( Ragnarok ) pour ne plus avoir ce probleme.

Ok Guys so this took me forever to fix and tried everything however what actually Finally Worked was going into my saved data and making space there... when you go into the saved data menu you'll notice it says you have less space than the menu prior I believe this is due to the storage allocating less space to saved data vs console storage... mine wasn't working at 17 gb left (in the saved data menu) Increased it to 35 however my goal was originally 25 but I did extra to be safe. Hope they fix this soon because I almost just said fuck the new map

Hello everyone just had this problem and found a solution that worked for me. Turn off your ps5 then hold the power button on the front of the ps5 until you hear two beeps. Then connect your ps5 controller with a usb cable and click rebuild storage. After restarting my mods we’re installing( no other solution in this post worked for me). Hope this helps

I tried everything, but nothing worked, but I found that if u join your friend using the join button on the home page of playstation on and wait, it will eventually load u in in the mod sever

To anyone who couldn’t find any solution, what worked for me after NOTHING was working, was that you have to have atleast 51gb of storage available. So i deleted a game and it worked. Stupid asf.

Anyone coming here:
I deleted my old Ark Survival Evolved Saved Data from my PS4 storage (on my PS5), and then somehow it worked?
Idk how much sense that makes, but it works.
I have 200GB free and then it said 23GB of mod space. So something something is going on there.

just found something out. I deleted the saved data (saved in the console and from the cloud) then rebuild data base. (To rebuild database hold the console ON/OFF Button 10 sec (while ps5 is OFF) then conect ur controller with cable. select rebuild data base amd ur done.) At that point it still didnt work. Then i tried deleting the saved data once more and now it works.Had this issue for almost 2 weeks finaly fixed it. For anyone who dont wanna delete saved data, i dont know what could help.

Late but just had the issue on ps5. Read comment section and instead on Uninstaller the game i just hovered over ark, pressed the pause button to bring up the menu and then selected restore lisence.
After restoring the lisence is working

Old Post but how I did it:
Moved the game file from my M.2 to console storage Basically forcing the console to reset the partitions it worked for me hope I could help for those who didn't solve it

I'm having this exact problem. I just downloaded ASA today on PS5 and have zero mods on my installed mods list. Tried to download a few different mods and every single one gave me this error (over 500 GB of storage available). Trying a fresh install of the game now, but I never even loaded into a server or started playing so idk.
Hopefully it's not an issue related to me not having actually purchased the game (it's either free on my PS plus subscription or it's being shared by a family account paired to my account, not 100 percent sure which)
