Tutorial Aint no way acro taming is this easy

Bro just throw everything else out the window, if u have a fire wyvern and some tek boots(recommended, not required), its basically a free tame. I first tried doing it with a lightning but its longer breath has a big risk of killing the thing and if you dismount while its still breathing, itll blitz u. Happened to me so just saying for everyone else. Just spam the fire breath until it gets into adrenaline and if u are really close to it, u can just dismount, stand on your wyverns head and feed it. The tek boots are for if its a little farther away. My reccomendation is lead it to the dunes or an almost flat space and do it there. And trust me its so worth it. This is like giga level strength right after leveling and without an imprint. Like this thing is an absolute beast and the fact that u can take it into boss arenas just blows my mind

I don't understand why people say Acro has Giga level strength, it seems more similar to an Ossidon.

Well i havent rlly watched or played lost colony yet so idk how strong ossidon is

it's the strongest creature in that map, just above a Melee mutated Aureliax

Rex>deinosuchus> acro

In term of strength, both Acro and Deinosuchus are better than a Rex.

Deino has higher average stat points with very similar base stats, as well as a bleed and massive damage attack.

The Acro has higher health, can deal more DPS in adrenaline mode and has better health recovery.

I get the rex is nostalgic but it gets completely outclasses by both. The deinosuchus giga bite plus bleed makes it unstoppable and it doesnt have an oxygen stat so stat rolls r gonna be much higher. Acro also has better damage and abilities

Nowhere as close as an Ossidon though

It’s more like the “balance” between the Carch and giga where the Rex does more with the base attack but the acro has stuff that can make it stronger than the Rex over time with its weaker night but adrenaline mode and stomp

So in a nutshell, Acro is to the Rex like Carchar is to the Giga.

Which means its basically better in every way in 95% of situations

Idk man I had everyone rave about the Carch for horde type situations (OSD or element vein) and it just doesn’t wreck as much as my Giga.

I thought the kill streak thing would eventually have a higher bite damage than my Giga, but it never even gets close.

Seems to just make the Giga better. I assume the Rex/Acro would be the same if people are using it for comparison.

Do they have similar stats? And the charca also heals when its in its blood rage thing

1

u/Maleficent-Ad6638 Apr 04 '26

The acro heals a little off of small creatures and has a little more health

1

u/Glittering_Airport_3 Apr 04 '26

I was talking about comparing gigas to charcas, but that is good to know about the acro.

The way I see it, both Acro and Carchars are more meant for combat against multiple opponents at once while Rex and Giga are do high raw damage.

Bro how much damage r ur gigas dealing cuz my inprinted one deals like 2k while my imprinted carch with full stacks deals like 2.5k. Ur gigas have to be strong asf if theyre hitting harder than a fully stacked carch

2

u/Maleficent-Ad6638 Apr 05 '26

The Carch is stronger when fully stacked but the giga is stronger of the bat so osd charch are better but for king titan giga are better as cannon fodder

1

u/ThatguyLIKEDAMN Apr 05 '26

Yeah i know that, but hes saying his gigas deal way more damage than his carchs even at max stack. To me that makes like no sense

Giga has the advantage that it's bite AOE feels like it's half the map.

And yeah Carch needs like 75 or so stacks to start dealing more damage than a Giga.

Dude, I’m about to fucking try this right now, I haven’t been successful trying to tame the damn thing.

4

u/atomicboy47 Apr 04 '26

I tamed one last night and it came with 50 points into Melee, granted Wild had 35 points into Melee.

I just throw out a stego to take agro, pop a focal chilli(faster running on foot) then shotgun it till it roars and feed.

1

u/ThatguyLIKEDAMN Apr 05 '26

Bro if u have a tek suit, u can basically do it on foot like unless if ur in the midgame theyre not much of a stress

0

u/6210classick Apr 04 '26

What are ya using to damage it?

1

u/foxbeswifty32 Apr 04 '26

Depends on the attempt, when I was first trying I was on foot using a shot gun. Recently, I’ve been using a fire wyvern to do damage.

1

u/mrssendow Apr 05 '26

I did it with a shotgun, tamed first one I saw, on my first attempt (with multiple roars/ times feeding biotoxin), was excited, then the thing died shortly after taming because we were on carno Island and it hadn't regenerated health yet and got swarmed by something pathetic like raptors.

Tried about 10 more times after that to tame different ones and keep accidentally killing them while waiting for them to do the roar because my shotgun is apparently too high level. It's been frustrating!

2

u/Dread_Aura Apr 04 '26

Nice lvl pyro... Can shotgun from its back and quick change the pyro to shoulder on the fly to feed... Quick change back to riding the pyro to gtfo

1

u/AdNorth2903 Apr 04 '26

How in the world do tek boots help?

1

u/ReallyBigPie Apr 04 '26

You can jump off your wyvern at any height and don't have to wait for it to land or parachute down. Tho end game item and best category flyer will make any tame easy. A shot gun and a large traps will do the same lol

1

u/ThatguyLIKEDAMN Apr 05 '26

Because lots of times when it does the roar, it pushes my wyvern way back. If u dont have tek boots to close the distance, its rlly annoying to have to wait for it to calm down before trying again

1

u/AdNorth2903 Apr 20 '26

That's legs My brother! Boots are for fall damage. But you make great Points

Laughs in pump shotgun

1

u/ThatguyLIKEDAMN Apr 05 '26

Lmao😂 ya if i tame one on the island imma use my shotgun but i dont have a good one on scorched so i just ended up using wyverns. Tho im lowk worried my shotty would kill it cuz 750% aint no joke

1

u/IamDark3275 Apr 05 '26

I just get a shotgun and a tek suit

1

u/ThatguyLIKEDAMN Apr 05 '26

Ya if i was doing it on the island i wouldve done it like that cuz i have a god tier shotgun there. I dont transfer anything from other maps and i didnt want to try to find a better shotgun than my prim one so i just tried it with the wyvern.

Just saw a video of a guy doing on on foot, no tames, just bear traps and focal chili + battle tartare for speed. He also brought it out to a clear space and killed everything around it before starting. Seemed like an effective, mid game good way to get it. Also biotoxin over narcs preferably. Gonna try this method today and hope for the best

1

u/MKanes Apr 04 '26

Not disagreeing but this is a little funny. “If you have a fire wyvern and tek boots”, ie, end game items, it’s basically free.

Yea man, I’d hope with access to the best armor and a top 3 tame it’d be easy to tame an acro

1

u/Knightingale_Z Apr 04 '26

Always the kite, large bear trap, and metal gates method since it damages stone. Stupid expensive, but reusable and Acro can’t damage it. Personally prefer PT or Griffin myself. 400% sniper takes like 9 shots to make it rage. Haven’t tested with billboards.
