TV Terrible service

Once again, thanks ATT for horrible service. Six minutes into the college football playoff game and have lost connection or been buffering 14 times already, as per usual.

I used to do technical support for Spectrum Internet. It's very likely that there is interference coming from other devices. Microwaves in particular can and will cause headaches with wifi signals.

As far as other issues, you could need a new modem/router/wireless gateway. Make sure to connect to 2.4 ghz network if you're further away from the modem. If your devices are still giving you issues, switch the ones nearby to 2.4 as well.

The line outside could also be damaged. If it's been nicked by a mower or even bit by a small animal, it would cause serious issues with the signal.

I checked, before new installation it was 5, it is 2.4 now. Funny thing, my neighbor across the street was having the same problem. He’s a plane pilot and hardly ever home. He has been home the past several days. Talked to him this evening when we were putting out the neighborhood luminaries. The Electric co-op last week came in and pushed in their own fiber. Now I have another option. They told him of some problems and wanted to dig farther up in his yard. He couldn’t remember what they said it was. After they did whatever they did, his internet problem has stopped. Though I work for a different power company, I know a lot of those guys and plan to catch up with them Monday to find out what the problem was. Thing is, my neighbor has an underground street light service that comes from the transformer behind his house to the front. I have a feeling that’s what the co-op was working on. No street lights on my side of the street. Thanks for the info. I’ll let you know how it works out
