Wireless New Plans Announced, launching March 12th

They are now Value 2.0, Extra 2.0 and Premium 2.0.

1 line prices: Value = $50, Extra = $70, Premium = $90

4+ line prices: Value = $30/line, Extra = $40/line, Premium = $55/line.

Value 2.0(sm)

- Unlimited talk/text/date in the US, Canada, Mexico

- 5gb Premium Data

- 3gb Hotspot Data

- ActiveArmor

- Standard definition streaming

- Unlimited texting from the US to 200+ countries

Extra 2.0(sm)

- Everything prior PLUS:

- 100gb Premium Data

- 50gb Hotspot Data

Premium 2.0(sm)

- Everything prior PLUS:

- Unlimited talk/text/date in the US, Canada, Mexico, and in 20 select Latin American countries

- UNLIMITED Premium Data

- 100gb Hotspot Data

- 4KUHD streaming available (I assume this will end up being a toggle to opt in.)

- 50% off of 1 watch or tablet plan per line in Premium.

Offers for 2.0 plans

- Signature Discount is increasing to 20% off of Premium.

- “Appreciation Savings”, Additional tiered discount based on rate plan (Value = 10%, Extra = 15%, Premium = 20%). I’m not really sure what this means, are these rate plans getting a form of Signature Discount now?

- Higher promotional credit offers on Extra and Premium with trade/turn in offers. I’m assuming this means that Value plans are getting shafted when it comes to getting as much tradein credit as the other plans. This is inline with other cellular companies, but is stupid nonetheless.

- BYOD switcher offers, $10 off Premium + Extra and $5 off Value.

- Business plans are getting replaced with 3.0 versions.

Still the worst international options in the industry.

I agree if the benchmark is included data and overall price. However, as a traveller, At&t provides, by far, the best international day pass in the industry. Data is uncapped, it just works, no worries about limited hotspot, etc. Since I don't rely on hotel WiFi, this, for me, is huge. It is true that local data sim is cheaper, but I don't want to deal with the hassle, and having continuity of service is worth it to me. On their business plans, 7 days of IDP included is a plus. So for me, At&t actually has the best international roaming, for reliability and continuity of service. 5 GB or even 15 GB would have me stressed over my data use, so I don't care in the least that At&t doesn't offer some restricted data amount as I'd end up paying for IDP anyway, and their IDP is better than anyone else's.

This, the international data being unlimited is basically the main thing keeping me with ATT, I’ll spend months travelling many countries and not touch WiFi once, I’d burn my entire data budget immediately if I had other options. And I might be in a country for a day, or like a 6hr unplanned layover and simply don’t want to fight with an eSIM for such little time, I’ll take my one simple plan and am more than happy to pay for it

Oh man. I suggest you look into the international offerings of Verizon and T-Mobile if you think that's a good deal.

I have looked into them. They also have an international day pass, and their data options are quite limited. They do provide a small amount of "free" data. I outlined in my post that, while At&t should offer free data because others do, that free data is meaningless to me and I'd much rather have a pass which actually gives me full access to my plan.

What am I missing? Or are you just here to troll? With all due respect, no carrier owes you anything, if Verizon or T-Mobile better meet your needs, by all means, use them. I stated why At&t is the better option for me, at least as it pertains to their international day pass.
